It was epic. A war is coming, Save yourself if you can because Walt versus Hank is going to be HUGE.

Oh yes! And Skyler and Marie are going to be in the crossfire, I'm sure of it.

I think Skyler is going to be on Hank's side, metaphorically speaking

I didn't bought the whole I quit from Walt and it's difficult to see that Slyker did.

Incidentally, as far as I know, he has never told her his name, and she hasn't gone to the trouble of finding out.)
Now that's interesting! Moot though, now that Hank knows who Heisenberg is.
I thought the whole "I'm out" was wrapped up too neatly and am wondering how it will be handled next season. Won't other people - Lydia, Todd - try to come back on Walt to keep making meth? Or are they too scared of him?
Mike's family will never know what happened to him, but the police must have told them about his criminal activities.
At least Lydia isn't an ax crazy person who beats their underlings to death at the slightest provocation, I'll say that for her.
How low the standards are for human decency on this show ;)

I suspect Lydia will be the first to try and push Walt back into it. She's making money hand over fist (and I bet her real commission with Gus was lower, considering the only other possible witnesses are dead), and she's not going to want to give that up. She could even be shorting Walt on the actual money she's raking up out of the Czech end, too.

PS. How low the standards are for human decency on this show

Ha! Tell me about it. Jesse and Hank are the best "good guys" there are, really, and even Jesse's no angel. He's a killer, for one thing. He's beaten people up, lied, cheated and stolen as well.

But he had enough decency to know when he couldn't do it anymore and keep his conscience. So there is that.

And Hank. Oh, Hank. You were such a loudmouthed asshat in the first season with your insensitive comments. But you've grown wiser and shrewder in the time since then.

The chess match between Hank and Walt will be a wonder to behold.

I've always liked how they played with the stereotype with Hank. A loudmouthed redneck, but one who is great at his job. If Walt weren't his brother-in-law he would have caught him by now.

"We're gonna make a lot of money together." - Tuco Salamanca (Season 1) and Lydia Rodarte-Quayle (Season 5)

Wow, great catch! I knew that line sounded familiar but I couldn't think where I'd heard it before.

Great recap on the midseason finale! I can't yet accept how long we have to wait for the final episodes...

Heh, I happened to just be watching the eps really close to the finale, so it stuck in my head, heh.
