A press conference was held to inform the media and fans of the happy news. Kazuya, with a big smile on her face, announced to nationwide that she’s pregnant, Jin’s child of course. Jin who sat next to his wife shared the same happiness as her.

They both answered reporters’ enquiries cheerfully. The atmosphere was really warm and comfortable. When one did not know how to respond to a certain question, the other would help out.

“To have been born and met Jin, I’m thankful.” Kazuya said, gazing at Jin. “Now, to carry Jin’s child, I’m really happy. We’re both eagerly waiting the day when this baby will be born.”

“I’ll take good care of Kazuya and our baby.” Jin flashed an embarrassed smile.

Far from people’s view, Jin embraced his wife lovingly inside the dressing room. He let out a content sigh as he leaned his head on Kazuya’s shoulder; he wished he could stay in this position forever. Luck was not on his side when a sudden knock on the door interrupted their moment.

Jin frowned, forced to pull apart from the hug as he unlocked the door. He flashed the intruder an annoyed look before settling down on the sofa without a word, his arms crossed, a pout soon appeared on his face.

“What’s wrong with him?” Yamapi asked. “He’s not having mood swings, is he?”

“No, of course not! He’s not the one who’s pregnant.” Kazuya chuckled, stealing a glance at her husband. “It’s just that you came at a wrong time, Pi.”

Yamapi’s eyes widened, his palm went straight to his mouth. “You two still have sex in your current condition? That’s weird … you both are fully dressed.” He blinked in confusion.

“Pervert Pi! We were not making love! We were having our moment and you had to interrupt, of all people! God, what the hell are you doing here anyway?” Jin threw a pillow in the direction of his best friend, missing his face just inches away.

“Idiot Jin! You were the one who told me to pick you two up because you were not in the mood to take the train home. Why didn’t you drive when you came here earlier?”

“It’s none of your business to know the reason!”

Yamapi turned to face Kazuya who had a sheepish smile on her face. “Jin definitely has mood swings issue, that I am sure of now. I pity you, Kazuya. You have to put up with him every single day, hour, minute and god, even seconds!”

“Oii, don’t exaggerate!” Jin shouted.

“Shut up, fat Jin!”

“I am not fat!!!!”

“Ryo-chan said so!”

Kazuya shook her head in defeat. These two friends would always be at loggerheads with one another whenever they meet. Sometimes she wondered who was the youngest of them three.

“Shut up!” Kazuya shouted loudly resulting in the attention of the two men. “I want to go home … now.” She flashed them a dead glare, her right hand reaching out for her belly.

“Y… yes.” The two were surprised at Kazuya’s outburst.

“Let me just pack our bags.” Jin scrambled out of the sofa, and hurried to the makeup table, shoving their entire stuff into their bags. Kazuya stood by the door impatiently as she watched Jin pack.

“I’ll wait for you two outside then.” Yamapi said.

“Here.” Jin handed Kazuya her bag but she made no move to accept it.

“I’m pregnant. Hold it for me, please?” Kazuya requested using such sweet tone that Jin could not resist. “Please ……?”

“Yes, yes … Sure.” Jin balanced two bags with his left hand thankfully they’re neither heavy nor bulky while the other hand wrapped around his wife’s waist. “Let’s go.”

-

Kazuya was active even though she is pregnant. Instead of staying at home doing absolutely nothing, she rather be with KAT-TUN, doing something. No one could ever change her decision, not even Jin, the husband. He would keep a lookout for her at work, not allowing her to do much work, asking her to rest if she couldn’t cope.

It was annoying Kazuya to a high extent but an irritating Jin who kept pestering her every minute meant that he really cared for her. That was why she was willing to put up with Jin’s over protectiveness.

Kazuya bowed to the staffs once she was finally done with her An-An photo shoot. They were mostly sexy shots but no nude ones at all, Jin was relieved when he heard of the news.

“Jin!” She was surprised when she saw him standing outside the studio.

“You’re done?”

Kazuya nodded. “Don’t you have any photo shoots to attend to today, Jin?”

“Nope, there isn’t. I know you’re not going home straight after this photo shoot so I’m here to drive you back to Johnny’s building, the rest of KAT-TUN is still practicing for the concert.” Jin placed a protective arm around Kazuya’s waist immediately.

“You know me best.” Kazuya hugged Jin, smiling.

-

Kazuya picked up the items she needed full of scrutiny before placing them into the trolley, she was about to push it forward when her husband suddenly appeared in front of her, gasping for air. He had rushed here when he heard that Kazuya went to the supermarket alone.

“What do you think you’re doing, sweetheart?”

“Hmm, groceries shopping?” Kazuya replied dumbfounded, not getting Jin’s double meaning.

“I know that much but you are doing it alone, it’s dangerous carrying all the heavy stuff. Why didn’t you tell me? I would have gone with you.” Jin reprimanded.

“Why are you worrying so much? I’ll take a cab. You were busy anyway.”

“You could have waited for me to come home. No matter how tired I would be, I’d accompany you.” Jin noticed the glare that started to form on Kazuya’s delicate face, before her anger could turn for the worse, he hugged her suddenly. “It’s because you’re so independent that I worry. I’d want this pregnancy to be smooth and well, more importantly I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.”

“Jin …” Kazuya’s anger instantly faded away.

“What else do we need to buy?” Jin took hold of the trolley’s handle, peeking onto the shopping list that his wife was holding. At that moment, Kazuya was glad that Jin was the one for her. He was such a loving husband one would ever dream for, she felt precious and loved.

-

Kazuya closed her eyes as she listened to the music, waiting for her turn to sing. It was a ballad song so there weren’t much dance movements. Initially Jin wanted Kazuya to sit on a chair while singing to which she rejected, saying that she’s okay standing up.

KAT-TUN Spring 2011 Concert had just begun, at the same time Kazuya’s pregnancy had turned into three months. Though looking at Kazuya’s still slender body, no one would have thought that she is pregnant.

“It doesn’t really show.” Nakamaru said, relating to Kazuya’s stomach.

“Are you really pregnant?” Koki exclaimed, earning a hit from Jin, the audiences laughed at this.

“It’s only three months. I’m sure my stomach would be a lot bigger by the end of this concert.” Kazuya placed both of her arms on her waist. “But isn’t this good, I can still look slim despite being in this condition.”

“Now that I think of it, even though Kazuya’s appetite increased tremendously, there seemed to have no change to her body.” Junno said.

“Yeah, you’re right. Kazuya is still beautiful as ever.” Jin praised.

Kazuya rolled her eyes, “The thing is, why are you guys talking about me?!!”

-

“It’s a boy.”

The couple immediately went shopping after their doctor had informed them of their child’s gender. To them, whether it would be a boy or a girl, it doesn’t matter. All they ever wanted was their child to be delivered safely to this world.

“Isn’t this cute?” Jin showed Kazuya a pair of boy’s clothing.

She nodded gleefully, “Let’s take this too!”

“What else do we need, Kazu?”

“Hmm, toys, pram, diapers … and ah, milk bottle!”

They spent the whole day shopping, that when they reached their home, the bed was the first thing they landed on, the two fallen asleep in each other’s arms. The setting up of their baby room would come later.

-

KAT-TUN filmed the latest episode of Cartoon KAT-TUN, they played ‘Only the Truth’. Junno suggested it, the other members agreed despite hearing the game for the first time. It was usually ‘Truth and Dare’, this time it was different as it seemed.

“Who is first?” Koki asked.

“We’ll use the group formation, starting from Kazuya.”

“Okay. Who will ask the questions?” Kazuya crossed her arms, this game sounds interesting enough.

“About that …” Junno pointed towards six small boxes situated on a table, “We’ve gathered questions from fans, they’re in the boxes. You just have to choose randomly from the box with your initial on it. K-A-T-T-U-N.”

“Let’s start!” Koki shouted.

Kazuya picked a piece of paper while having her eyes closed, hoping that it wouldn’t be a tricky question. She handed the paper to Nakamaru once she had chosen.

“Who was your first crush?”

Kazuya chuckled at the question, “My nursery teacher. I remember it well.”

“Was she pretty?” Jin asked.

“Yeah, really pretty!” She answered, oblivious to the tint of jealousy in Jin’s tone.

“Kazuya …” Koki called. “Who was your first love?”

Kazuya blushed at the sudden query while Jin grinned happily.

“You’re not supposed to ask questions besides Kazuya have answered one already!” Nakamaru reprimanded his cheeky friend.

“But … we would love to know the answer.” Jin pouted. “Kazuya!!!”

“The answer is with you, Jin.” Kazuya finally voiced out after a moment’s of hesitation.

Jin didn’t expect that, a crimson red colour soon formed on his cheeks, the temperature in this studio suddenly became hotter. The Akame pair stared at one another embarrassingly, close in distance. If they were not currently recording, Jin would have hugged his wife that instant.

“They’re so obvious.” Ueda murmured.

-

Kazuya stepped out of the bathroom and walked towards the bed, settling beside her husband. Jin put aside the magazine he was reading, giving Kazuya his full attention. Seeing this sweet gesture, Kazuya smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder, her hand intertwined with his.

“What should we call our child, sweetheart?”

“I really love the name Ryu. It sounds pleasant to the ear.” Kazuya answered.

“Ryu?” Jin could not help but grin at that name as it reminded him of the drama they both once starred in. “Why not Hayato?” He teased.

“It had nothing to do with the characters we played, Jin!” Kazuya hit Jin lightly on the shoulder, glaring at him hard. “I just thought the name’s really nice, it would fit our family name really well. Don’t you think?”

“Akanishi … Ryu. It’s a perfect fit now that I say that name.”

“See what I mean?”

“Akanishi Ryu, Akanishi Jin and Akanishi Kazuya … Hmm, a perfect combination I must say. Am I right, sweetheart?” Jin emphasised causing Kazuya to blush at her married name.

“I just remembered that I’m an Akanishi too.” Kazuya smiled shyly.

“You are, and always will be.” Jin kissed her on the forehead, pulling her closer.

“Hmm.” She nodded.

-

The last day of their Concert Tour finally arrived, the six of them stood at the main stage in Tokyo Dome, wanting to have fun while doing the MC.

“It’s bigger.” Koki suddenly announced.

“Eh, what is bigger?” Nakamaru could not help but ask. The members too had a confusion look on their faces, totally clueless at what Koki had just said.

“Kazuya’s stomach.”

Nakamaru rolled his eyes. The others chuckled in amusement at Koki’s words. He had said it in such a cute tone and expression that Kazuya herself could not control the laughter.

“I told you, didn’t I? That my stomach would grow bigger by the end of the concert. The baby’s developing inside of me.” Kazuya touched her belly lovingly, flashing one large smile.

“Mommy loves you.” She whispered.

“Daddy loves you too.” Jin joined, holding Kazuya by the waist, his free hand touching her stomach.

The members and the audiences were awed, witnessing the beautiful image.

-

Starting from Kazuya’s 7th months of pregnancy, she took a rest from work and simply stayed at home. She wasn’t against the idea because, at this stage, it’s easy for her to get tired. Resting at home was not that bad, just that it was lonely staying home alone without Jin.

“Just another two weeks, and you’ll be born.” Kazuya brushed her belly gently, talking to her son. “I can’t wait to see you. I’m sure daddy too will be excited. Even if you’re not born yet, we love you very much.”

Kazuya heard the clanging of keys, signifying Jin’s return. Her eyes beamed with excitement as she got up from the sofa, but before she could even move a step, she was hit with an enormous pain. Kazuya let out an audible gasp as she gently dropped down back, her hand holding her stomach painfully.

“Kazuya, I’m home!”

Jin froze when he saw the state Kazuya was in. He dropped his keys and rushed to his wife abruptly.

“Kazuya!”

“It … hurts … Jin … hurts …” Kazuya grabbed Jin’s hand.

Jin looked down, shocked when he noticed that Kazuya’s water bag had burst. “We’re going to the hospital right now!” His tone panic but his expression remained calm, he had been prepared for this day and he knew exactly what to do.

“Jin …”

“Ssssh, it’s going to be okay.” Jin flashed Kazuya a gentle smile. “I’ll be right back.”

He ran to their bedroom, placing all the essential items into a bag. He was by Kazuya’s side the next instant, wasting no time to lift her up, carrying her bridal style. Kazuya placed her arms around Jin’s shoulder, whimpering in pain.

-

“How is Kazuya, Jin?” Yamapi asked the minute his friend walked out of the room.

“She’s ready for delivery. I’m going to sign some documents. You inform the rest, okay?” Receiving a nod from Yamapi, Jin patted him on the shoulder, muttering a soft ‘thank you’ before rushing off after the nurse.

“Yamapi!!!”

Actually, he had already done what Jin had requested without even being told, from their close friends, the members of KAT-TUN to everyone else in Johnny’s Jimusho. This was the least could help his friends.

“Kazuya’s inside. They’re preparing for a delivery. Jin had to settle some documents.” He informed.

“The day has finally come, huh?” Nakamaru said, “Hope it’s a smooth delivery.”

The rest nodded their heads in unison, praying for the best.

-

“Push, Kazuya. Just a little bit more …” The gynaecologist encouraged.

Jin held his wife’s hand tight, his hand is now sore with Kazuya clutching to it tightly but the pain he felt was nothing compared to what Kazuya is feeling right now. He looked on as she tried her best to push, for the past twenty minutes she had but to no avail.

“I can’t … do it … Hurts … so … much …”

The gynaecologist sent a silent message to Jin who understood what it meant.

“Kazuya, sweetheart, you can do it. It will hurt now but think of the future we would spend with our child. Please do your best in bringing Ryu to this world, you would want to see him too, right? You can do it, I believe in you.” Jin kissed Kazuya on her forehead, tightening his hold on her hand.

“Jin …” Kazuya’s eyes collected of tears, touched to hear his words.

He nodded, flashing a smile at her.

Kazuya took a deep breathe, pushing twice as hard, putting all her energy into it.

“Yes, that’s it. Push! I see the head already …”

The next few minutes, a loud wailing could be heard. After seeing the baby with her own eyes, Kazuya heaved out a weak sigh of relief, too worn out to think of anything else. Trusting the medical team to take care of their child, Jin embraced Kazuya who closed her eyes and entered dreamland.

-

Her eyes fluttered open, slowly trying to adjust to the light. For a moment, Kazuya wondered where she was when flashbacks of the previous event came to her. She remembered her child’s face; the thought brought a smile to her face.

“Kazuya, you’re awake.”

Jin entered the room, carrying their child. Tears cluttered in Kazuya’s eyes as she sit up immediately, reaching out for the small child. With a smile, Jin slowly placed the baby onto her arms.

“Jin, it’s Ryu.” She whispered.

He sat beside Kazuya, wrapping an arm around her waist as he looked at their child. “Thanks to you, Ryu is here now.” He smiled.

Unable to control her emotions, Kazuya broke into silent tears. She was too touched, it overwhelmed her. Not saying anything, Jin pulled his wife closer and hugged her tighter. His attention soon turned to the child in front of them. They do not need words to express their feelings because the image they’re witnessing right now, right this instant, was enough to sum up their true feelings.

It’s really a beautiful sight …

Author’s Notes: Writing the delivery scenes were hard, I wrote them based on what I saw on television. Hope it worked out fine. Having a baby, bringing a life to the world, I’m sure it would be beautiful and touching. <3
