Jin flipped open a magazine that had Mizushima Hiro and Kamenashi Kazuya as cover models, he smiled when he saw cute photos of them, admittedly they looked good together. His heart filled with warmth when he read through the contents, feeling glad that Kazuya have good relationship with her cast members. For once, Jin felt refreshed looking at things from a new perspective.
If only he had acted this way then …
Shaking his head, Jin let out a small smile, reminding himself to not feel regret of the past anymore. Until now, there’s still a part of him that feel the guilt, wishing that he could turn back the time and undo his wrongs. But like Kazuya had said, blaming himself would not make anything better furthermore he would only ended up hurting the ones he loved and himself.
So instead of blaming himself, Jin would try his best to make up to his wrongs, if not fully, at least he would be doing something rather than nothing at all.
Just supporting Kazuya from a distance, he was more than content.
Jin was about to turn another page when his cell phone rang, the ringtone that of KAT-TUN’s recent single. Sighing, he glanced up at the clock, suddenly realising that it would soon be lunch time, another miserable lunch without Kazuya.
“Moshi moshi?” He answered the call, his eyes widened when he recognised the voice from the other line. “Kazuya …”
~`~
Jin bowed to the people around him, silently greeting them as he headed towards Kazuya’s dressing room. The special drama is a NTV production, the same company that produces Cartoon KAT-TUN variety show so he was given access to the studio, they know him anyway. Once in front of the designated dressing room, Jin knocked on the door, patiently waiting for a reply.
“Jin!” Kazuya exclaimed, surprised to see him here in front of her dressing room when she had told him to wait in the car park, she had called him thirty minutes ago to ask him out for lunch, of course only as friends. “You didn’t have to come up. I told you to call me, remember? Anyway, you’re fast.”
She opened the door wider for him to enter.
“I changed immediately when I received your call, that’s why I’m here at a fast speed.” Jin chuckled; sitting crossed legged on the floor, directly in front of the table. “I don’t mind coming all the way up, it’s pretty lonely waiting inside the car anyway.”
This time it was Kazuya’s turn to laugh at the latter’s honesty. She hurriedly placed all of her necessities inside her handbag, standing up and sliding it over her shoulder once she was done.
“Let’s go!” Kazuya turned to Jin, flashing a wide smile at him.
“Okay …” Jin replied but did not move an inch from his position, his eyes fixed on one magazine.
“Stop looking at that magazine, and let’s get going already.” Kazuya pouted when the other still refused to budge from his sitting position leaving her with no other option but to pull him up to his feet and dragging him out of the room.
“Kazuya ….” Jin complained at Kazuya who was pushing him from the back causing him to move forward.
“Hurry, Jin! I’m hungry!”
Staffs who happened to walk past them simply smiled looking at the couple’s cuteness, thinking that it was their normal bickering. So that was how they act around each other in private, they thought.
“Okay, okay! I’ll fasten my pace but let’s walk side by side, okay?” Jin finally gave in.
“Hmm!” Kazuya nodded, stepping next to Jin, and together they walked towards the elevator. Being the gentleman that Jin always is, he allowed Kazuya to enter first followed by him as he pressed the button to the car park.
“So where do you want to eat? If you have time, we could go to this nice restaurant not far from here.”
Kazuya glanced at her wrist watch, “I have exactly two hours.”
“Then let’s hurry.”
The door to the elevator opened, and Jin unconsciously held her hand causing Kazuya to blink at that action as she was being guided towards his car. Jin let go of his hold the minute they’ve reached in front of their car, unlocking the vehicle, he immediately entered the car, not realising his slip. Thus he was confused when Kazuya remained rooted in front of the passenger’s door.
“Kazuya?” He opened the door from inside, peering up to her from inside.
“Ah, I’m sorry.” Kazuya quickly settled herself next to Jin, letting out a nervous laugh.
During the journey to the restaurant, Kazuya looked down on her right hand, the very hand that Jin had touched earlier on. Touching it with her other hand, she could somehow feel Jin’s warmth though it had left her a minute ago.
My heart’s beating really fast …
Kazuya leaned against her seat, turning her head to face Jin as she smiled, knowing exactly what that feeling was. It had been revived once again.
~`~
They seated in a secluded corner in the restaurant, the food that they ordered had just arrived as they started to tuck into their lunch. Amidst eating, Jin took the initiative to start a conversation. Not that the atmosphere between them was awkward, he did not like the silence that started to form the minute they’ve started eating.
“So how are you coping with filming?”
Kazuya frowned.
“Is that in a good or bad way, Jin?”
Jin pondered at the question for awhile before answering, “Hmm, what if it was both?” He grinned, obviously teasing the other.
“Jin!!!”
“Okay, I’m sorry!” He quickly said, laughing. “Honestly, how is filming for you?”
“Hmm …” Kazuya placed her left hand on her chin, her elbow on the table’s surface as she gazed at Jin. “Never could be better, the cast and staff treated me well. It may be tiring but filming is fun, you know how I’ve always loved acting.”
“Yeah, I know.” Jin nodded, putting another spoonful of rice into his mouth.
“Jin …”
“Hmm?” Once he finished chewing his food, Jin looked up at Kazuya.
“Did you watch the press conference clip?” She asked, silently hoping that the older one happened to watch it.
“I did.”
“I meant what I said, Jin, every single word of it.” Kazuya emphasised, her tone determined.
“I believe you, Kazuya.” Jin took her hand in his, squeezing it for one short moment before releasing it, flashing her one wide smile. He returned his attention to his food soon after causing Kazuya to pout and stared at her untouched hand.
“Jin …” She whispered his name again.
“Yes, sweetheart?” Jin’s eyes widened in shock, his hand covered his mouth as he realised his slip. “Ah, I’m sorry! Me and my stupid mouth, please pretend that I didn’t say anything, okay?” He let out a nervous laugh, looking down onto his food rather than facing Kazuya.
“It’s true that I said that we should keep our distance from each other and that you should give me time …” Kazuya whispered in a really soft tone, “But I didn’t say that getting back together is impossible because you’ve already owned my heart, you should very well know what this means, right?”
Jin nodded, smiling.
“I’m sorry. I just couldn’t help but feel insecure every time I think of us.” He chuckled. “I’ve been apologising a lot lately. The word ‘sorry’ had turned into my favourite word, I guess.”
“Oh, I’m glad.” Kazuya teased.
“About us … let nature takes its own course, okay?” Jin suggested.
“Hmm.” She smiled.
Jin sent Kazuya back to the studio after they’ve eaten their lunch. He waved back at Kazuya, staring at the figure which soon faded away as she disappeared inside the building. At that moment, Jin realised that it was time to make the first step after the clear hints that Kazuya gave him.
He would slowly make his way back to Kazuya’s arms.

The next few days, Kazuya was surprised to see a banquet of tulips placed neatly on the table of her dressing room. Bending down on the floor, she held the flowers, searching for a card. She placed the flowers aside and began reading the contents of the card, her lips curved into a smile when she found out who had sent these beautiful flowers.
Kazuya,
I did say that we should let nature takes it own course but with my hard filled effort too! So today, I present you these flowers, they’re beautiful as you. Slowly and steadily, I will make my way back to you. I will do my best!
Love, Jin
Though not expecting the flowers especially not from Jin, Kazuya accepted it. Not able to contain her excitement, she hugged the banquet of flowers to her chest, her free hand reaching out for her cell phone. With one hand, she sent a message to Jin.
Thank you for the flowers, Jin. I love them, but not as much as I love you.
Kazuya giggled, not believing that she had just sent something cheesy to Jin. Oh well, it was the truth. Putting her phone aside, she casted her full attention to the tulips, closed her eyes and smelled the fragrance.
I love you lots too.
That had been Jin’s response to Kazuya’s message, and at that moment, she thought that she was falling in love all over again, with the same man of course. She felt giddy of the love in the air; as if this was the first time she had been in love.

The filming of the special drama had just wrapped up. It had been a heartfelt moment of goodbyes with the casts and staffs, three weeks of filming had passed by so fast. Kazuya packed her bag as soon as she stepped inside her dressing room, leaning against the wall once she was done with it, breathing heavily as a result of exhaustion.
I don’t feel like going home by train.
Kazuya heaved out a sigh. Glancing at the time on her wrist watch, she realised that it was way half past ten. Taking her cell phone into her hand, she dialled that one number she had memorised by heart, hoping that the other hadn’t gone to sleep yet.
“Moshi moshi?”
Surprisingly, the other was awake, by the voice Kazuya could tell.
“Jin?”
“Yeah?”
“Can you do me a favour?” She simply asked.
“Sure, anything you want me to. What is it, Kazuya?” Jin replied sweetly.
“Can you pick me up? Filming for the drama finally ended and I’m dead tired, I don’t feel like taking the train home. I don’t want to ride a Cab at this time of the night either, you’ll never know of perverted drivers. Please, Jin? Send me home?” Kazuya pleaded.
“You know I can’t resist when you use that tone.” Jin chuckled. “Wait for me. I’ll be there in thirty minutes time.”
“Hmm.” Kazuya closed her eyes, falling into a deep slumber.
~`~
“Kazuya …”
Kazuya stirred when she felt someone shaking her shoulder lightly furthermore that familiar voice were so gentle that she could not resist the other, her eyes fluttered open in a few seconds. She stretched her arms tiredly, and scanned her surroundings, falling into a state of shock when she realised that she was in Jin’s car, and that they’ve reached her home.
How the hell did I get here?
Kazuya blinked in confusion.
“Magic?” She murmured to herself.
“You looked so peaceful sleeping. I couldn’t bear to wake you up so I carried you all the way to the car.” Jin explained, seeing that Kazuya seemed surprised to suddenly wake up in his car. “You’ve worked really hard for the special drama, ne.”
Kazuya blushed, not expecting that to be the case at all. She didn’t even realise that she had been carried, perhaps because she felt so comfortable in Jin’s arms. Kazuya mentally scolded herself for not realising Jin’s presence, having wasted precious moments with him.
“Thank you, Jin … for sending me home.” Kazuya smiled. “If it’s you, I feel safe.”
“It’s my pleasure.”
“Then … good night.” She walked out of the car, closing the door gently. Kazuya took one last glance at Jin before heading towards the gate.
“Kazuya?”
She glanced back at the source of the voice, noticing that Jin had stepped out of his car and were heading towards her. Not knowing what to do, Kazuya simply remained rooted to her position, waiting until Jin reached her side.
“Are you free tomorrow?” Jin placed both of his hands into his jeans pocket, his eyes gazing straight to Kazuya’s brown ones. “If you are, I want to ask you out.”
Kazuya’s heart felt warmth. She had expected Jin to make the first move soon so she wasn’t taken aback when Jin had asked her of this. Nodding her head, she replied, “I don’t have anything tomorrow.”
Jin felt relieved, “I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning then, if it’s okay with you …”
“Sure.”
“And, Kazuya …?”
“Um?”
“It’s a date, not a meeting as friends, but a date, our first date once again.” Jin emphasised his point. “You understand what I’m trying to say, right?”
Kazuya nodded, her lips curved into one wide smile, not able to contain her happiness.
“I’m looking forward to tomorrow, Jin! Good night!”
She waved him goodbye, disappearing into the Kamenashi Residence leaving Jin grinning away.
~`~
“Kazuya! Jin is here!” Her mother shouted from the first floor.
Kazuya immediately rushed down the stairs at the first call, her dress accompanied well with her hand bag especially her smile that completes everything. She’s simply beautiful.
“Good morning.” She stood next to Jin shyly, as if meeting him for the first time.
“You’re beautiful, Kazuya.”
“Thank you.” Kazuya blushed.
“We’ll get going first, Kamenashi-san. Thank you for allowing me to date your daughter.” Jin bowed, very appreciative of her support. He glanced at Kazuya next, “Let’s go.” Jin opened the door for her, being the complete gentleman he is.
“Bye, okaasan.” Kazuya walked out of the door, following shortly behind Jin.
At the doorstep, Mrs Kamenashi watched the two lovingly, she felt relieved that the day she had been waiting for had finally come, the day where Kazuya and Jin reunite.
~`~
The destination to the designated place took quite some time nevertheless Kazuya was totally awed when she realised where they were for their first date, the significant of this place still linger in the back of her mind. She turned to Jin, and smiled.
“Jin, this is …”
Tokyo Disneyland, this was where the both of them had their very first date … Oh, and it was way before Kazuya had turned into a woman. They were heavily in disguised, belonging to one of the popular Johnny’s group. Smiling, laughing as they took rides after rides while holding their hands tightly, the memories remain livid and held a precious place in their hearts.
He nodded, “I’ve already bought the tickets. I thought we should go to our memorable place rather than an expensive and exquisite date. Do you agree with me?”
Kazuya nodded, the smile never leaving her face, her happiness evident.
“Then let’s go and enjoy ourselves, shall we?” Jin handed the tickets, they were inside Tokyo Disneyland in no time. It was a splendid view, Kazuya thought. When had it been the last time they’d been here … together? It was such a long time ago, she realised.
“Kazuya.”
She took off her attention of the wonderful view that greeted them, and turned to face Jin, that source of voice that had called her sweetly to the extent that her heart felt warmth. Kazuya blinked when she saw Jin handing out his hand towards her, the surprise look of hers immediately changed to that of delightful as she accepted it, her lips curving into one big smile.
“Let’s have lots of fun the whole day!” Jin squeezed their hold slightly, elated that Kazuya didn’t push him away. A part of him was afraid that the other wasn’t ready to have that kind of contact with him but he was glad that he had taken the risk.
Slowly, and one step at a time …
“Hmm!!!” She nodded cutely in response causing Jin to chuckle.
“What should we ride first?” Jin asked Kazuya as they walk, his eyes suddenly sparked as he exclaimed, “Kazu, how about Roller coaster?”
“Only if you agree to go to the Haunted House …” Kazuya replied in a soft tone, teasing.
Jin’s face turned to horror at the mention of that, his excitement completely soared as he looked down on the floor. “It’s okay. We don’t have to ride the roller coaster.”
“Hey, I was just joking with you.” Kazuya held Jin’s arm as she poke his cheek lovingly with the other hand. “We won’t go to the haunted house if you don’t want to besides I know you too well. You have always been frightened of that one place. We can still ride the roller coaster, provided that it won’t be that extreme.”
Jin suddenly remembered that Kazuya have a fear of heights. Though being an idol had caused her fear to reduce tremendously, that fear had always been there and had never disappeared from within her, for that fear was and still am a part of her.
“Don’t worry, it won’t. You have me beside you. I’ll be there with you.” Jin caressed her cheek. He leaned neared to whisper something to her ear. “Seems that everyone’s looking our way now so shall we?”
Kazuya laughed.
Their hands clasped firmly as the both of them walked side by side, eager to try out every single rides as they go along the way. Their first date, for the second time, had just started.
~`~
Rides after rides they tried, the smile on their faces became wider as time passed by, both of them sharing the same amount of happiness. Jin pointed towards the Ferris wheel at one point of time, Kazuya nodded and smiled, and thus they immediately joined the queue.
“It’s so beautiful.” Kazuya whispered when they were up in the air, everything looked so small from above nevertheless like she had mentioned, the scenery was simply beautiful. Suddenly being reminded of what Jin and she had gone through brought tears to her eyes, at the same trying to control her emotions.
“Kazuya …” Jin tilted her head, taken aback by those pure crystals cluttered in her eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“I missed you, Jin.” Kazuya’s tone break as she hugged him tightly, sobbing into his chest. “I’ve missed you, it was unbearable! Missed you …”
Jin flashed a smile, placing his arm around Kazuya’s shoulder, comforting her. “I’ve missed you too, sweetheart, so much …”
They faced each other, and gazed at one another with love.
“Let’s start anew, alright? Let this be our beginning.” Jin whispered, unable to take his eyes off the beauty in front of him.
“Yes, let it be our new beginning.” Kazuya smiled, and closed her eyes when Jin leaned to kiss her on the forehead. Once again, she felt loved and it was truly a wonderful feeling. Overwhelmed with emotions, Kazuya laughed and cried simultaneously but this time the tears she shed were that of sheer happiness as they engulfed in a tight embrace.
Being in this moment, time seemed to have frozen for them, nothing else matters.
~`~
The reunited couple ended up staying inside Tokyo Disneyland till night, they had too much fun together that they didn’t realise that time seemed to have passed by so quickly. Kazuya laughed it off when Jin tried to be a gentleman and opened the door to his car for her.
“Are you hungry? Let’s have our dinner before heading home, okay?” Jin fastened his seatbelts, glancing at Kazuya as he waited for her response, of course she had said yes to that. They both had some snacks while inside the amusement park but not any full course meal thus they were terribly hungry right now.
Kazuya leaned against her seat, her eyes watching Jin intently as he drove.
It had been a wonderful first date, and to feel it once again but in a different way, Kazuya had truly been touched. She was sure that Jin felt the same thing too. The pain that Jin caused on her had but remained as a scar in her heart, and that she was slowly starting to accept Jin again.
Slowly and steadily, that scar would be healed completely.
I believe in you, and our love.
