Kame wailed loudly, and started crying. Jin let out a panic gasp, kneeling down to meet Kame’s eye level. He tried to reach for the toddler’s arm, only to be pushed away.
“Sweetheart, I’m sorry. I don’t mean it that way. Of course I love you.”
Kame refused to give in to Jin’s sweet talk. “JIN NO LOVE AME!!!!!!!! NO LOVE AME!!!!!”
“Kame ...” He wanted to pull the younger one into his arms. His body and face met with the floor instead. Kame had slipped easily from him, running to the living room.
“Baby ...” Jin moved the curtain, revealing a crying toddler.
“No come near Ame! Ame no want talk with Jin!”
“Kame, there is no way that I’ll stop loving you. I will always love ...”
Kame’s cries got louder, the boy shaking his head in denial.
Jin sighed.

It had been thirty minutes yet Kame still had not stopped crying. He refused to listen to Jin’s pleas and forgiveness. Jin looked at the clock in the living room, hoping that Ueda would come sooner. The doorbell rang at that split moment.
“You’re finally here, Ueda! God, I don’t know what else to ...” Jin paused when he realised that Ueda was not alone. “You guys ...”
“Yo!!!” Koki and the others allowed themselves in.
“Ueda, I thought I only told you ...”
“No time for that.” Ueda scanned the whole living room for that toddler, following the direction of the soft sobs. “Kame-chan.” He called out.
Kame’s crying stopped. With his small hands holding the curtain, he peeked out of his hiding place. He glanced his surrounding, noticing the presence of others. Kame’s eyes widened when he spots Ueda. He ran towards him and hugged Ueda’s legs.
“TAT-CHAN! JIN NO LOVE AME!”
“KAME! As I’ve said many times earlier, I love you!” Jin almost pulled his hair out of desperation, not knowing what to do to have Kame believe him.
“It’s no use, Jin. Whatever you say now, Kame won’t heed to it.” Ueda said.
“Yeah, this is just one of Kame’s tantrums. Give him some time.” Junno flashed Jin an apologetic look. Nakamaru nodded in agreement.
“Besides Jin ... you’ve got an explanation to do.” Koki crossed his arms.

“This fight is due to a small matter? I thought it was something serious!” Koki laughed his ass off.
“Hey, this is a serious thing, okay! Kame as a toddler has never pushed me away like this ... I don’t know if he’ll ever talk to me again.”
“Don’t worry, Jin. We’ll surely help you. This after all was just a misunderstanding between you two.” Nakamaru said.
“Yeah, Kame is stubborn like hell and you, Jin was just plain stupid.” Taguchi just had to add.
“What did you say, Taguchi?”
“I said ... Ah, I mean ... Nothing. Pretend I didn’t say anything at all.”
“I’m doing that right now, for your information.” Jin retorted, removing his glare from Taguchi’s direction. He glanced at Ueda and Kame in front of him. Jin got up from the couch and kneeled down beside the sleepy toddler.
“Kame baby, it’s time for bed.”
“Ame don’t want sleep with Jin!!!” Kame hid behind Ueda.
Jin was taken aback. He was led speechless by Kame’s declaration of ‘not wanting to sleep with him’.
“You’re not going to sleep alone tonight, right? Even if you are, I’m not letting you.”
“Ame no sleep with Jin!” Kame was adamant with his declaration.
“Kame, please ...”
“No no!!! No sleep with Jin! No sleep with ...”
“FINE!” Jin burst out, frustrated at Kame’s wilfulness. “If you don’t want to sleep with me, it’s your problem! I can look for a beautiful girl to sleep with me anyway!” He headed towards their bedroom and slammed the door hard.
Kame blinked then recalled Jin’s words.
“I can look for a beautiful girl to sleep with me anyway!”
“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

The next day, Kame ignored Jin like a plague. He refused to talk to him at all cost, running away when Jin was in a close distance to him. Jin broke his heart, chibi Kame reasoned.
“Jin broke up with Ame! Jin no want Ame anymore ... Ame stay with Tat-chan, can?”
“I ...”
Jin interrupted Ueda, who now kneeled in front of the pouting toddler.
“When did I ever break up with you?”
“Jin, don’t you remember?” Junno asked.
“What?”
“Yesterday night .. You said you’ll look for a girl to sleep with you.” Koki whispered to Jin’s ear, not wanting the toddler to hear what he had said. “Kame actually had a fit yesterday night.”
“Tell me about it.” Ueda shook his head as he recalled.
Jin placed his hands on Kame’s shoulder. “Kame, I was just joking with you yesterday. Why would I be looking for a girl when I have you?”
Kame crossed his arms and pouted. “Ame still no forgive Jin! Ame stay with Tat-chan!!!”
Jin heaved a long sigh and removed his hands from the toddler. Kame was still persistent in avoiding him at all costs. “I’ll help you pack your bag then.” Jin left for the bedroom.
“Jin ...” T-TUN said at once, and then glanced at the unaffected Kame on the floor.
“Kame, are you okay with this?” Koki took a seat next to the toddler. “You will miss Jin for sure if you stay at Tat-chan’s place.”
“Ame won’t!”
“Jin won’t be there if you need him. Jin will be some place far away from you. You can’t reach him even if you wanted to.” Ueda tried to coax the little one out of his brilliant idea. “If you cry, I can try to make you feel better ... but, Kame ... I’m not Jin and never will be.”
Kame’s lips quavered at the thought of that. Tears soon started to form in his eyes.
“Are you alright with being far away from Jin? If you are, then we can ...”
Jin came out of the bedroom with a big bag in tow.
“NOOOOO!” Kame shook his head desperately. “Ame no leave! Tat-chan, stay please?”
Jin raised his eyebrows in confusion, not understanding the conversation between Ueda and Kame. The toddler had said that he wanted to stay over at Ueda’s place, right? Then why the sudden change of plan?
“Ueda?” Jin called his friend’s name.
“Let’s have a sleepover, you guys!!!” Ueda announced happily.
“Eh?”
“That is a great idea, Ueda!” Koki exclaimed.
“There’s only one guest room though.” Junno said.
“Kame and I would be taking the guest room, since he ... does not want to sleep with his Jin.”
“Shut up!” Jin glared at the second oldest member of KAT-TUN.

“NISHIKIDO RYO!”
Ryo dropped the plastic cup he was holding, being frightened like that. He shivered at the tone of his friend used. He flashed Uchi a panic expression.
“What do you think Jin wants now?”
Uchi shrugged. “Beats me, ask him yourself ...”
“Nishikido!”
Ryo stood rooted on the couch when Jin entered the dressing room, fuming with anger. He gasped.
“Wh ... what’s wrong?”
“You dare ask me what the hell is wrong! It’s your fault to begin with!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“What kiss kiss before having a bath? I don’t care if you want to kiss Uchi before taking a bath but don’t involve the innocent Kame in it! He had actually mixed up a kiss and making love, thanks to you who had taught him the wrong things!”
“Well it’s not my fault for your stupidity!
“What did you say?” Jin flashed Ryo a dead glare.
“You’re in this position because you’re stupid enough to misunderstand Kame’s meaning of ‘kiss’! Now who is at fault? You or me?”
“I wouldn’t be yours if you had locked the damn door!”
“How the hell would I know Kame would enter the room? You’re just out of excuses to think of, Jin!”
“I do not!”
“It’s obvious!”
Uchi rolled his eyes at the two bickering friends. “I’m out of here.”

“Kame-chan!!!”
The toddler glanced towards the door, Yamapi holding him firmly as he squirmed. “Chii?”
“Hi, Kame.”
“CHII!!!” A smile appeared on Kame’s face. He waved at Uchi.
“Oh! Kame seemed happy to see you, Uchi.” Yamapi stated.
Uchi smiled. “How are you doing, Kame? I heard that you fought with Jin.”
“Hnn!” Kame’s smile disappeared, replaced by one big frown. “Jin don’t want kiss kiss before bath! Say things Ame don’t understand! And and ... yesterday, Jin broke up with Ame! Ame very sad!!!!!!”
“Huh? He broke up with you?” Uchi was shocked.”Yamapi, is it true?”
“This is just one of Kame and Jin’s fights, Uchi. Jin did not break up with Kame. It’s just a stupid misunderstanding.”
“Not stupid!” Kame retorted to Yamapi’s words.
“Okay okay, I’m sorry.”
The door slammed open, revealing one flushed Akanishi Jin. He took one glance at Kame before settling down on the sofa, indulging himself in reading a magazine.
“Kame, Jin is lonely. Why don’t you accompany him?” Yamapi whispered to the toddler’s ears.
Kame shook his head unwaveringly. Uchi could only look at him in amusement.
“Kame, it’s not good to be stubborn. If you keep ignoring him like that, Jin would find a girl for real to replace you.” Yamapi teased.
“Oi, Yamapi ... that’s going too ...”
“JIN WON’T! JIN SAID JIN HAVE AME ALREADY!!!!”
KAT-TUN’s dressing room became eerily silent. Everyone were flashing the toddler a cute smile, Kame even had the full attention from Jin, who flashed him a small smile.
Kame pouted.
“Ame still angry at Jin!!!!”

Kame woke up in the middle of the night, sniffing his tears away. He tiptoed out of the guest room and into his bedroom. Kame hugged the turtle plushie tightly as he looked at the sound asleep Jin on the bed.
“Ame want Jin ...” He whispered.
Throwing away his pride, Kame climbed up the bed and lay next to Jin. He snuggled close to Jin, smiling contently as he drifted to dreamland.
He felt safe, more than ever before, with Jin next to him.
