addendum to my last lj post: the government subsidizes 65% of my cobra for the first nine months, so it's not so bad.
in other news, i am meeting with admissions counselors and filling out fafsa paperwork so that i might be able to start graduate school this summer. looking at biorenewable resources & technology and human/computer interaction programs at ISU, both science degrees. haven't ruled out the MBA in non-profit management i wanted from the git-go, either, but this concept of commuting from ankeny and saving rent makes sense but frustrates me personally.
also applying for the full time barista position at mars café, which would be pretty awesome, and maybe change things or at least delay them a little bit.
in not-really-news, my friend janet who first got me hired at apple as a campus rep (she noticed i was a major advocate while in high school working at comp) actually married steve wozniak last year, 8/8/8. she's still heading up apple's education program nationally. i am stunned. i always thought her last name on facebook was a joke until i saw photos from their wedding. more like a little personal 'wow' moment, i can't imagine anyone else would care much besides the fact that she's from iowa!
