New York State of Mind
Film class makes me think about NY all of the time. Why? I dont know really...but it does. Plus, planning this whole trip to Europe makes me anxious to plan next summers NY trip...hell, i already have details lol. I wanna go after my b-day (the big 2-1) so that i can check out cool bars and what not...but also bc the summer is the best, i want to have a picnic in the Park with scott (this trips companion).
UGH...plus, seeing as how i keep being threatened with being kicked out, it just makes me want to go more and more. when i listen to Billy Joel: New York State of Mind, i almost want to cry...because everything he sings about i can picture in my head and I MISS IT SOOOOO MUCH!!!!
i dont know if anyone but betsy and maybe christina (but shes only been once, so its prolly not as strong with her) have any idea what im talking about, so this prolly seems really crazy to everyone...but hey...those of you who just graduated: GO TO NEW YORK THIS SUMMER. im not kidding. i will tell you everything you need to know, just ask and you'll have a place to stay, a realistic budget and a list of things to do and places to go and things to see and what to avoid and how to get around and all that...no joke, it would be the highlight of my life to tell you all of this information.

Some folks like to get away,
Take a holiday from the neighborhood.
Hop a flight to Miami Beach or to Hollywood.
But I'm takin' a Greyhound on the Hudson River line.
I'm in a New York state of mind.
I've seen all the movie stars in their fancy cars and their limousines.
Been high in the Rockys under the evergreens.
I know what I'm needin', and I don't wanna waste more time.
