"Ryan Clacher, a friend wanted us to meet," he gave a somewhat dry chuckle. "I thought we should set up a time and place," he tacked on in case she was feeling as nervous as he suddenly found himself.

It hadn't been until she'd picked up the phone and spoken that he'd found himself feeling jittery, one hand shoved in his pocket before he started fiddling with something.

"Oh, yes, Miss Garland mentioned you'd drop me a line. It's wonderful to hear from you," She began, her voice edged with hints of mild anxiety. She had just been recently widowed after all, what would people say if she sounded and acted like she has completely moved on? "I wouldn't want to be too much of a nuisance on your calender. When are you free?"

"I'll be free for the next two weeks after Friday," he stated giving a nod that couldn't be seen. Spring Break for the students and faculty would probably be a good time to get this probable fiasco out of the way. She didn't sound exactly keen on the idea herself. "What would work best for you?"

She makes a soft, thoughtful "Hmmm," as she weighs her options. One the one hand she didn't want to come across as too eager. On the other hand her body desperately needed to find a permanent provider. A woman her age could only feed on lonely hearts for so long before drawing suspicion.

"How does Tuesday for brunch sound?" She suggested, quickly adding "You decide the place."

The places he knew seemed limited, eating out was often not something he had the time to do properly, though one stuck out in his mind. It wasn't a fancy place, rather quaint but the food was good and it was usually a quiet place to get to know someone or grade papers.

"There's a quaint place near my home, Second Star Garden, have you heard of it?"

Angela wasn't familiar with the place Ryan had mentioned. But there was something about the name that amused her. She hoped he would have a sense of humor. She's found people who did were easier to deal with.

"Second Star Garden?" She grins over the phone, "Whatever happened to the first Star Garden?"

Ryan chuckled and decided to indulge the humor, "It was burned down by a group of boys, the Lost Boys I think." He gave a grin, maybe this wasn't destined to be a disaster. "There might have even been a fairy and a boy in green with them."

To be serious, "I think the name is the only thing inspired by Peter Pan but I'm sure no one would mind if you wanted to wear some wings." There was the tiniest hint of flirt under his voice that he wasn't even aware of, but it was so easy to do when one was teasing another.
