I'd forgotten just how vehemently I always disagreed with Yvonne Hartman. I guess it's true that time dulls some things after awhile.

In the meantime, it looks like we're kitten sitting for a bit. I hope she's back with Rhys.

Yes, well. You know she fought to the last?

And I hope Gwen's okay. And I know she's been missing Rhys.

And if she had just listened ... never mind, it's over and done with.

I just keep saying she is okay, she has to be. In the meantime, we take care of a kitten, who is living in one of Kyle's shoes.

Yes, I know, if she'd have listened it would have never happened.

She'll be fine. And I don't want her getting fur on me.

Abby's offered to help look after her. Between us I'm sure we can keep her happy and off your suits.

Usually when Ianto went to see Jack, he had something to occupy his hands, a cup of coffee, a file or something more interesting, so oddly enough, the act of approaching a sombre Jack without holding anything was a little daunting.

Still, Jack hadn't told him to go away, and Ianto always, always wanted to be there whenever the older man was feeling a little more vulnerable than he usually would.

Quelling the ridiculous urge to knock when entering his own bedroom, Ianto turned the handle and walked in.

Jack was, as he'd stated, sitting in his chair. It was pulled up by the window so he could watch the play of moonlight on the waves beyong the crest of the dunes.

Also as promised, there was a small kitten in his lap, doing a small kitten loaf. She seemed content with the absent way a big hand was petting her, even if Jack's fingers almost engulfed her entire little body in one stroke.

The room was silent, except for the purring of said kitten.
