Seems a group of hunters is in need of a doctor and I got propositioned. I'm accepting. They did ask if I knew anyone else who'd be interested. Of course I thought of you, and Owen, given if he's not otherwise occupied.
The word used was 'beasties', but we've met up with plenty of those, I believe.

Correct, and I'm getting more details on the operation and its targets currently.
Sit tight, captain. I know you don't want those hunted who don't deserve it or require it.
From the intelligence I've been able to get so far though, around, there are 'monsters' depending on what area of the Underground you're in. I believe it may have something to do with that.

I know and he'll probably barf on the carpet and or kick my ass just for having said that but I can't not be aware of it, Martha.
He's vulnerable and it's my job to protect him.
Believe me, the thought has crossed my mind and I hope for nothing less than to find the miracle I was hoping for when I brought him back. But I haven't found anything yet and until I do, having him risk himself on something like this, when just falling off the couch is a danger to him ...
I've been to the Underground, Martha. With the Doctor. Even he worked to avoid the monsters there.

I know Jack, but you know that a certain amount of protection will simply make him feel useless, void of purpose.
Of course. I understand.
I'm not there exactly to hunt. I'm there to do what I do best: be a doctor. If they need help, I'll be there. As for you and the Doctor, that's rather surprising.
How do you feel about adding that on to your list?

'Beasties'?
Can you give me any more details? Is there a reason these 'beasties' are being hunted?

But, Martha Owen shouldn't be hunting unknown monsters. He can't heal, even bruises and cuts.
[ooc: Jack frets like a fretting thing that frets! ;)]

It seems to me he would not take kindly to be...being left out. At the very least he should know about it, even if he does not come with.
About his condition, Jack, this city is strange. Have you thought we might be able to find a way to...help him?

But like I said, I'll keep you posted, captain.
