so WE GOT APPROVED FOR THE MORTGAGE. they did the appraisal, and all that stuff is over with.
this is a really big deal, and i am really excited about it... but unfortunately there is still one more thing we have to wait for. yes, it never ever ends.
we are still waiting to hear back from the state about our grant. we have to be under a certain income bracket to get this money and we are RIGHT THERE. especially since andrew got a raise in july. [who knew that we made so much money? what the fuck. where does it all go? apparently together we make almost $40k. huh?!]
so, andrew has to drop off paperwork at our crazy loan officer's office this afternoon during his lunch break. and then we are mailing out the last documentation. and we SHOULD hear back from the state in like... 5 days. which is going to be cutting it very close seeing as we are supposed to close a week from tomorrow. but that's ok.
we already got approved for the loan. i'm trying to tell myself that. the only thing is, if this grant money doesn't come through, we will have to rearrange a lot of shit and it's going to be a total nightmare. we can hopefully still close on time. but if we don't get this money then we are going to have to come up with like $4,000 in cash for closing costs. booooo. so cross your fingers that the state decides we are poor enough to throw money at us.
