New TV show on CBS

Ugh... so obviously, I'm still upset about Emily Owens (see previous post).

Intelligence, CBS

Michael Rady, who starred in Emily Owens, is now in the new CBS show, Intelligence. While I'm happy that the actor has found work, I'm not so sure about the plot. Here's the premise from Wikipedia:
The series follows a high-tech intelligence operative who is the first of his kind to have a microchip implanted in his brain. Endowed with this technology and ability, he is able to access and detect anything and anyone, but at the expense of taking risks or breaking protocol in order to protect national security, prompting his superior to assign him a Secret Service agent to make sure he doesn't get out of line, or, for that matter, into enemy hands.

Let me reword this:
The series follows a high-tech intelligence operative Nerd-Herder at the BuyMore, Chuck Bartowski, who is the first of his kind to have a microchip implanted CIA-NSA database called the Intersect subliminally embedded in his brain. Endowed with this technology and ability, he Chuck is able to access and detect anything and anyone via flashes, but at the expense of taking risks or breaking protocol in order to protect national security, prompting his superior the CIA and NSA to assign him a Secret Service CIA agent and an NSA agent to make sure he doesn't get out of line, or, for that matter, into enemy hands

Hmm... doesn't this sound a lot like Chuck? Ok, so the microchip was the main discrepancy, but overall, the general plot is the same. Really, CBS? You can't come up with anything new you have to steal from NBC?

I hope this is not a Chuck rip-off...
