A speck in the universe

Dec 28, 2006 02:48

I'm dangling on a string so thin, I couldn't even floss my teeth with it

Hoping against yesterday that the answer wont be the same

Cause in all this talk and communication, there lies a basic premise

That nothing of great consequence can be called by a name

So I hover above the incandescent glow afraid to dive in

because after that point there is no thing called "certainty"

where in this world does true living intend to to begin

if tonight of all nights even a light seems scary

deaf mute, you wait by the side of some road alone

somewhere out there with only your convictions to hold.

You look like a something that resembles light, but you aren't one.

You're just a speck in the universe that fits no ones mold

Empty space filled with everything in between the lines

There is no omega to a thing with no name

bumbling, bounding, trying to break all these binds

but when the morning comes, it will be all the same

Ill be here believing against your convictions

that there's more to this world than to travel alone

because through the myriad of existing malfunctions

without another we might as well be undone.
