Salah has his jacket over his head as he charges into the Wasteland, trips over a chair, and all and all, makes an even bigger fool of himself as he tries to escape the rain outside

"Wimp," says a slightly dripping Preston, very quietly.

[wither_wilt]

"Am not." Salah mutters.

Click goes Salah's brain. Preston has been gone for weeks! There is no Preston to mock him! But lo, there is! There is a Preston! A wet Preston!

"Preston!"

Salah does some sort of gymnast move that allows him to tackle Preston around the waist and bring the werewolf down. Tequila is smooshed between them and makes very grumpy noises about his sudden change in situation.

"You're back!" Squish, squish! Salah missed you, Preston!

Preston is laughing aloud, and pounds Salah on the back - either in friendship or as a sign that he is being scratched by a rather irritated cat. Or both!

"Not for long if you don't let me breathe, man!"

It would be a tragic irony if after weeks in the wilderness Preston were to be brought down now.

Salah rolls and keeps one arm around Tequila to prevent kitty from making an escape.

"Tequila missed you."

[bass_line_blues]

"I missed Tequila, too," Preston says, and hits Salah lightly in the arm. "And that other pointy-toothed guy he hangs out with, come to mention."

[wither_wilt]

After a comfortable pause, "I will have you know that Daniel can never be as good a christmas tree as you, dude. ...and he hits when startled."

[bass_line_blues]

"See? Now aren't you glad I didn't listen to you that time you tried to talk me into becoming a kung fu master."

Preston is only about 50% sure that this actually happened, but seeing as they were both drunk at the time Salla can't really prove that it didn't!

"Man, you tried to christmas tree Daniel when I wasn't here to see it?"
