"Like laws. Like maybe another step towards actual civilization - like that."

He shakes his head. "But I've got - it's a start. I think Russ is getting that it might be in everyone's best interest; Claire's more dubious, but she's considering it. I think she'll come around if I keep pushing. And the shelter folk'll be easy to convince."
A sudden laugh. "I'll say this for post-apocalypse politics, lobbying's a hell of a lot easier and cheaper when you can just round the two of 'em up and babble at them."
And, you know, stop them from killing each other.
