Came across this from del.icio.us. Got a little confused - I didn't realise it was Eight at first (didn't read your note at the top :)

But your description of the new Doctor from River's POV:

He's more bitter now, more acidic -- like the way the coffee tastes when Mal makes it.

is just perfect.
