[from here]Jon laughed and climbed off her, shaking his hair back with a sharp smirk and reaching for her hand to tug her to her feet. Bunching up the blanket and folding it over his arm, he jerked his chin at the sweater hanging off the end of her bed. "Take that," he said, "and let's get the fuck out of here." He planned to lead her down through ( Read more... )

Susan eyed the jumper and shrugged, tying it around her waist. It was too hot to actually wear the thing, and she certainly didn't care about anyone seeing her in this top; but as ridiculous as this island was it could be cold in two hours and if they found a secluded enough place she didn't want to waste time coming back here for more clothes. There was no sign of Lucy or anyone else in the corridor, so obviously whoever it was moved on to more interesting things. Susan reached out and hooked a finger in the waist of Jon's trousers as they walked.

That smirk still lingering on his face, Jon walked her backwards toward the stairs, his hands skating lightly up her arms, across her collarbones and up her neck. The smirk deepened as she shivered, and he lifted his chin and eyed her darkly. "Careful," he said, hooking a hand around the back of her neck as they neared the stairs, her forehead bumping up close to his lips. "Don't fall," he said, that edge still tinting his voice.

"I won't," she said, hooking the fingers of both hands in the waist of his trousers. "I've something to catch me if I do." She stepped backwards onto the stairs, biting lightly at his neck as she did so. It would have been much easier and quicker to just let go and turn around and walk, but there was something about kissing him here where anyone could see that was rather exciting.

Jon would have heartily agreed, had he not been occupying all his brain space with making sure they didn't fall down the stairs as they went. He'd used his hold on her neck to pull her close, kissing her harshly with a low murmur running in the back of his throat, his free hand gripping tight on the bannister of the stairs to keep them from tripping. At this rate Jon wasn't sure they'd make it to the caves before he needed to touch her.

They did, somehow, manage to make it down the stairs without either falling head over heels or letting go of each other. It was slow going, but Susan was not willing to relinquish her old on Jon for anything. She was so intent on kissing him, sneaking her hands under his shirt to let her hands roam over his skin, that she barely noticed where they were going. Susan was quite content to let Jon steer her wherever he wished.

And here Robb thought he'd found a quiet spot at last to sit and think, and figure out what the bloody hell is wrong with everyone (why, for instance, Edmund is talking in such an utterly incomprehensible manner, being a generally rude bastard, and pinching people), and perhaps wait quietly until it's all over. Or until guilt gets the better of him and he goes out to patrol.

But then there's a sound, and Robb looks up, and--"Oh, hello," he says, and then really sees Jon and Susan, and swallows hard and covers his face. "Sorry--"

"Hello!" Susan wasn't the slightest bit phased by Robb's presence. "What's to be sorry for? It's a public place." She didn't let go of Jon, but dragged him over to where Robb sat. Not that she needed to drag him, exactly; he seemed quite willing to go along with her. "You look terrible," she informed Robb, with no trace of tact whatsoever.

"As if we have anything to hide," Jon added, an arm slipping around Susan's waist as he looked down at his brother. "She's right, you do look rather like hell." A smirk pulled gently at one corner of his mouth, and his voice took on a low rasp as he canted his head to the side and drawled, "I'm sure we can fix that for you."

It's not that Robb is slow on the uptake, it's just that he's not expecting these particular reactions. Not from Jon and Susan, at any rate.

"What?" he asks, rubbing at his forehead. "Fix what how?"

Even if Robb was being a bit thick, Susan wasn't. She was quite aware of the suggestive tone of Jon's voice - and what it implied - and she insinuated herself a bit closer to him in response. Ooh, this would be fun.

"You look terrible," Susan repeated to Robb. "Like your day is just not going very well at all." Now, if Edmund was doing his job properly, Susan thought, Robb should be happy as a clam! He definitely shouldn't be sitting here all along looking so downtrodden and lonely. That was simply a crime. She made a little tsking noise at the thought of the conversation she was going to have to have with her brother later about how to keep one's lover from pouting in deserted corridors, possibly even a hands-on conversation.

In the meantime, however, perhaps an object lesson was in order. "Up you get," she said, holding out her other hand to him and waggling her fingers a little in invitation.

"Come on," Jon agreed, going one step further and reaching down to drag Robb up by a hand under his elbow. "You're coming with us. Don't argue, I'm not in the mood," he said, cutting off anything else Robb might have said with a sharp look. Tugging him insistently toward the caves, Jon didn't stop for a minute to think about what he was doing-- it was like anything outside this moment didn't exist, not Edmund or any of the consequences that might arise from this.

Robb bites down on his lip. Did Jon just tell him, 'don't argue?' He's been out of sorts all morning, and Robb cannot shake the vague feeling that something is just a bit wrong about his brother's behaviour.

But it's Jon. Robb trusts Jon. And it's not like he's doing anything else at the moment. He's not even sure where Grey Wind's gone.

Gods, even his wolf's gone off and left him. Robb gives up, standing at Jon's urging. "Right, right. Where are we going?"

"Oh, wherever," Susan said airily. "Somewhere we won't be bothered." She slipped her hand into Robb's as they walked, her thumb tracing an idle little pattern on his palm. "But it doesn't really matter where we're going, does it?"

Jon slid around to Robb's other side, his arm lying heavily on Robb's shoulders, his thumb brushing the skin above the neck of his shirt. "We decided we wanted to get away for a while. It's too crowded in the compound with everything gone mad like it is. You should come with us-- you look like you could use the rest." His head was turned towards Robb's, his voice low in his brother's ear.

Robb swallows. Jon cannot know what he's doing, what that light touch does to him, does to his insides and some not-so-inside parts of him as well.

He tries not to shiver, mostly fails, and takes a deep, shaky breath.

Susan, still in possession of Robb's hand, had a pretty good idea just what Jon's voice and touch did to Robb - she vaguely remembered a conversation they had about that once, but it seemed like a very long time ago for some reason. At any rate, she didn't miss that little shiver and that shaky little breath, (it was a familiar enough reaction, after all,) and she squeezed his fingers. Oh, Robb. "It's fine," she said in a low voice as she glanced across him to Jon as they walked. "You'll see."
