Just some random babble about studies and dolls and table top RPGs 'n' stuff. With headers so you can read the parts that interest you and skip the rest if you so choose XD
Studies & life atm:
I passed with a rather good grade the spoken exam for my Swedish course - the more embarrassing to fail the written half of the exam ^^;; I still can't believe how I managed to fail it... When I later read the papers (I got them back so I could rewrite the essays and pass the course), I head-desked a lot. Okay, there were some actual mistakes, some of them rather bad, but most of the mistakes seem to have been my exam phobia kicking in... because when I went through them with the help of my dearest friend (thank you once again,
xuenay <3), I spotted most of the oddities myself, like the ones with the word order.
For once I was very happy to have forgotten to check my email before going someplace, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have enjoyed my party last week's Thursday had I checked the email beforehand and seen that email about not passing ^^;;
But thankfully I forgot to do so, so I had a wonderful time <3 We started the party at
xuenay's place and then moved on to Fever (a local disco/night club), which had been good before. Now it totally sucked ^^;; The music was lousy, and the atmosphere somehow uneasy. After two drinks we decided to move on.
huonekasmi suggested we'd go to DTM, and I heartily agreed - I've been thinking of going there for quite a while now, but never had the chance before. And I just simply fell in love with the place <3 What it lacks in decor, it makes handsomely up in the atmosphere <3 I've never had so much fun in any disco or night club ever <3 I danced to my heart's content (and for once I didn't feel like a walking exclamation mark with my little eccentricities like I usually do at a disco - well excuse me, but I like to dress and dance flamboyantly when going clubbing XD), and I am so going to make that place my "default" night club :3
I got a freelance job recently. It was supposed to be a proofreading and editing job, but the further I got with the text, the more my heart sank - the translation I'm supposed to proofread is inadequate to put it nicely (I have occasionally had a hard time deciding whether I should laugh or weep while reading it), so it turned into a translation job, practically. And now it's eating away all my master's thesis time... well, what is done is done, and I just have to do my best to finish it quickly and well so I can get back to my thesis. Oh well, so it goes. I'm happy to have gotten the job, however, because it'll look good on my resume, and will also potentially get me new jobs later on :3
BJDs:
Wah, once again I got a lesson in "think twice before deciding not to buy a doll"... I fell in love with Soom Euclase (
http://www.dollsoom.com/shop/step1.php?number=3193 ) but decided not to buy it because I didn't have a character for it. Well now I'd have a character. I got one of my Visions (I hate it when my visions end up being expensive), and now I just simply have to get him (or actually them, I'll make one character for each of the two heads), but the doll's value has tripled! *woe* I could never afford it... *sigh* Another Grail for me then... Oh well, maybe I can buy him in pieces once I save some money for him, after all, I'm not interested in a fullset, just the two heads, the normal body, and the special hands. So the price might end up being rather reasonable... I hope.
BJDs & RPG:
I also got an idea for another character I want to make into a doll. My first LARP character, whom I've yet to larp, has really grown on me. I so hope the LARP will actually happen one day soon <3 But to the character. (S)he is a young aristocrat with a slightly demimonde habitus, who is a somewhat decadent dandy. And as you probably can determine from the way I wrote the personal pronoun, (s)he wishes to be treated as a man (that is, usually, though often (s)he doesn't quite know what (s)he is or wants to be), even though (s)he is a woman. Now I just have to find a proper doll for the character :3
RPG:
I had an intensive game session last Monday. It was probably the first time ever I got so deeply immersed in a game where I'm the GM. Though as the game progresses, I can foresee some more of similar incidents. It was also the first time when all of us had a proper after game - I was not the only one deeply affected by the game. So we went to the Hesburger practically next doors and were more or less hysterical and giggled a lot (and probably annoyed some of the customers with it). I'm waiting with dread (and excitement) the next gaming session - it's going to be a double session, lasting the entire weekend, and the events are going to demand huge amounts of preparation from me. But there is no other way to do it right. I just hope my GM's stamina is sufficient :3
But that's about it for now, I think :3
