My Thoughts on Religion
Hi Everyone! :) Hope ur enjoying the very last day of this three-day weekend. We have approx. 4 hours left of it. xD It fled by sooo fast for me!!
I didn't really wanna do a post today, but I'm working hard on being the first one to complete my memes ;P At this rate, I gotta do a post every day if I wanna beat chop_ninja. Akira, I mean :P So here we go!
My mom blocked up all my cool Tumblr pictures that I usually post on LJ because she put a lock on my computer upstairs...:P I have make do with this laptop, but it's actually pretty freeing...It's true that I totally can't control myself around the computer. but sshhhh....today, I played one hour of Neopets. :P no one tell mommy, k?
I have so many memories of 8-2. I remember when Mrs. Gray wanted a fast typer for SS notes, and Katherine would go up often because she was really fast. And sometimes Andrea.
I also remember when Yoonsik couldn't get a book for silent reading because Mrs. Johnson didn't trust him...I let him borrow it on mine. xD I remember when people didn't get diffusion and osmosis so we drove Mr. Mathewson crazyy. And also when Ms. Gray read that book to us about rules. And even in the beginning of the year, when we did an assignment on cliques. I also remember in math class when Chelsea and I were sitting together, and we'd always draw on Oliver's assignments. And he wouldn't get mad or crazy, because..;)
I have all these memories :P I think i'll save them in my "good times" box.

I really wish I'd taken some pictures at Spring Fling, we had an awesome time! :) It was really funn, and like Henry and Michael were swingdancing together (or learning to swingdance together) and it looked sooo funnnyyyy, 'cause they were like refusing to actually dance because they thought it looked gay or whatever. XD :P And kevin came dressed in regular clothes, even though we were supposed to dress up! And Andrea looked pretty good in her music note suspenders, despite me wanting her to wear a skirt! Riley was there for the beginning of it too, and I bought chocolate truffles and they were DELCIOUS. Like, SO good. :) I want them again...waaah. :D It was such a fun night!!!
So..onto my meme.
I think religion is a personal decision. You listen and learn in the world, and you can choose what you'd like to believe in. God shows himself in many ways, it's up to you whether you wanna pay attention and listen. Some people just have a natural instinct to question, and it's through that those people find God. I found God through trial and error. xD I'll tell you a little story.
In elementary school, we had a this french-speaking competition. So like first you present school-wide, and usually three people are chosen from the school to represent them at the provincial speaking thing. Believe it or not, I was actually pretty good at french and got in both grades 5 and 6. Of course, you had to write your own speech and everything, and so for grade 6, I gave my speech on how children don't have a choice on religion, and how much I hated Christianity. I went through everything. How it's unbelievable, how your parents pressure you to go even when you don't want to and don't believe, and much more. I gave a presentation to the wide public about that...All I can say is, God must have been pretty disappointed in me. It's a good thing then, that he rescued me, and showed himself to me. It isn't through just one thing, he's done a lot of things, and no, they're definitely not coincidence. Once, i was playing video games with a friend and we just couldn't beat this pokemon. And so we tried like 30x or something and were about to give up, and my friend was like going crazy, and so we just sat down and prayed. And then we tried one last time, and we actually beat it. Like, the pokemon. I don't even know how, the level of our pokemon were like really quite low. xD
K, I know, it's a bad example, but there's been a lot more. And it's not only physical things that happen, sometimes the most proof he can give you comes from the heart, when you're willing to listen.
:) okay, religion rant has ended! Again, I realize how I didn't talk much about religion in general, but centered on one. xD k, it happens but i'm not going to rewrite it. :P
