Well, last month it happened. I stepped on the scale, said "AH!" and realized that I had just crossed the BMI line between normal and overweight. So I decided to make on of those famous "I'm gonna lose the weight" resolutions. Two weeks before Christmas. Not the best time of the year to try, but what the heck. Lucky for my waistline we had Christmas at home and without any guests, so we didn't indulge in anything too bad.

With my weigh-in the other day I had lost 6 pounds. I am forcing myself to drink water everyday and eat better. I might not always get the reccommended amount of water, but my eyeballs are floating so it must be close enough.

So now that I'm getting my diet in order it's time to start getting enough sleep at night. (HA! Not gonna happen! I'm hopefully starting a job in a couple weeks that will require me to be up at 5 am! Add to that I'm still a full time student and can't start my homework most of the time until close to 10pm!) But I can try. Also, I found a home gym system since I can't get out of the house nearly as often as I would like to. It has an exercise step, a set of dumbells, a resistance band, and an exercise ball. Not bad for $60. Just gotta wait until I can afford to buy it. For now I'm adding the Sweatin to the Oldies collection to my netflix, because Ella will get a kick out of doing it with me in the mornings.
