Photo day 1 - 20090115
My dinner on my first night alone at home. This was basically the first time I ever cooked a full meal, and I must say, it wasn't bad at all! It's just some chicken sautéed with oriental vegetables, with some jasmine rice.

Photo day 2 - 20090116
Jack sleeping on my bed like a baby in its mother's womb haha. I don't like this photo much, but it's the only one that came out okay.

Photo day 3 - 20090117
A plain vanilla cake that kssa09 helped me decorate. We had a get together on Saturday night (just us two with our boyfriends and my niece) and we ate this as a dessert. It disappeared quite quickly! :P

Photo day 4 - 20090118
Sunday morning (or more like early afternoon)'s breakfast for me and my niece. French toasts with some fruits. It was my second time making these... They were pretty good!

Photo day 5 - 20090120
I forgot to take a photo on Monday night so I took two today (Tuesday) to compensate. I looooove this photo. My dog is such a cutie sometimes! This is him looking intensely at the two birds we have here at home (photos of them coming up in the future?). It's probably the only time where he doesn't mind me taking a photo of him too much. I don't like the composition on this photo much, but I didn't want to crop anything because it would cut away his cuteness. ♥

Photo day 6 - 20090120
This morning's breakfast. Looks similar to Sunday's breakfast, except I made pancakes... Err to tell the truth, the bottom two ones were pretty burnt and ended up not being that good, but the top one was fluffy and perfect. :D
So as you can see I've taken the one photo a day project pretty seriously so far... It seems like I like food a lot. >__> The truth is I'm just pretty proud of myself for being able to do all this. I never really cooked before, so to make edible food ever though it's my first time is a feat! On Sunday night I even made fettucine alfredo with grilled chicken for my boyfriend, but because I had to put it in containers to go and join him at his university (where he was studying), the whole thing didn't look great enough for a photo, and I was too much in a hurry anyway. That one tasted good too haha! So I told him that I should cook for him every Sunday evenings in order to improve my skills, but I have to get creative... -_-

The photos of Jack make up the rest of these photos because he's basically my only companion at home these days. So I have nothing else to shoot haha. But he makes quite an interesting subject anyway, don't you think?

So right now I am sitting at my dinner table, in front of my laptop and the TV. It's very sunny outside, and there's nice sunlight in the house. I might go out for a walk later. For now, I'm pretty much trying to stay awake. The truth is I didn't sleep last night at all. I was browsing and surfing, and next thing I know, my friend comes up on MSN and asks me 'What are you doing up so early?. That's when I realized it was already 7 a.m.... I figured it would be kind of useless and a waste to go to sleep now, so I'll just sleep earlier tonight. I'm becoming a real vampire. :(

I'll just take advantage of the day to do some chores... Laundry, vacuuming, etc. Maybe I will even do something more creative later on. I wished I could draw, but I disliked drawing on paper. I used to have a graphic tablet, but I have lost the pen. It wasn't working too well anymore anyway... But it was really fun to work with and I've been considering buying a new one soon. It's not an option right now (due to my lack of funds) but I will definitely acquire one before spring. I used to draw all the time. I wasn't very good, but I enjoyed it. I just thought it'd be nice to do it again, this time seriously concentrating on improving.

The inauguration ceremony for the 44th President of the United States in starting soon, and I'll just watch this wonderful moment before doing anything. ♥
