OMG, I'm going to be in NY this weekend too - maybe we'll run into each other while shopping XD
You should definitely check out Uniqlo, Strawberry, Anna Sui... I'll write up a list of places that I'm going to and their directions in a little bit ^o^

I've linked all of these places to their corresponding Yelp pages, which include which stops to get off at and a little map of the areas n_n
Girl Props - lots of cheap, fun costume jewelry and accessories [check out the website]
Strawberry [there are several locations throughout the city, but I decided to link you to the one right next to the giant Forever 21 in Union Square n_n] - it's kind of like Forever 21 or Wet Seal; lots of cheap and trendy clothing and accessories - it's nice to peruse through.
Uniqlo - this is kind of like the Japanese crossbred H&M and the Gap, and then added a bunch of pop culture graphic t-shirts - I love Uniqlo!
Search and Destroy - this is a punky thrift/consignment store in St. Mark's [I couldn't find just directions to the St. Mark's area, so I linked you to this store which is right in the center]. Anyway, there are tons of cheap sunglasses/accessories stands here, along with some of the best Japanese food in the city ( ... )

oooh yay! i am so excited for you. snack at a pinkberry. the cutest, best frozen yogurt in the world. they have them all around manhattan.

if you don't have dinner planned out, try to eat at life cafe... it's the one written into the original rent script, it's right in greenwich village, it's not excessively expensive (no more than $20 a meal) and it's DELICIOUS.

store-wise, anything you really hit is going to be splendid- especially if you're in greenwich village. i love the american apparel there. and the urban outfitters has multiple stories of sheer goodness.

good luck and have fun (i'm sure you didn't need me telling you this)!

hmm life cafe eh? *writes down* what kind of food do they serve there?

oh i'm sure everything will be good, it's just that i won't be there for too long so i just wanted to make sure not to miss the good things. :D

thank you so much!! ♥

red mango > pinkberry. ask anyone who's ever been to red mango; they almost never turn back! :)

my sister really likes Odin, but it's a guy store. :X I heard they're opening one for girls soon, though! just explore around the Soho area and don't be afraid of the side streets cause the good ones are never on the main road.

No sales tax on clothing if the total is $100 or under. There's tax on all other things. Try visiting the Village, Union Sq. Park, SoHo... the Macy's is nice and big. You can find more ideas on Yahoo Travels.
