It's not that I haven't heard guys talk like this, it's that although I adore AkiHika pairings, they don't strike themselves as...flaming, and their love is more subtle than spoken. Would I be right in assuming that these guys are Americans, or if Asian, raised for the most part in the United States?
Since these boys are Japanese, and I was raised in an Asian household, I'm bringing up *my* experiences from my life to illustrate the way boys in Asia would be brought up to act. You don't just talk about love in a household. You can just feel it, which is something I noticed when talking to my friends. I was an anomaly, and was somehow grew up to be incredibly blunt. Love is very much shown, not spoken.
All the "I love you's" you see and hear in anime is just that, fiction, because it's something the Japanese can't really do in real life. The fact that the younger generation isdoing it more still only applies for the most part to girls, and not boys.
I guess what I'm saying is, I want to challenge you to write a chapter displaying their love without actually having them openly discussing it. Saying it right out is really easy. It's hard to show rather than say.
It'll do wonders for your writing ability at any rate. I shouldn't be talking. I still have yet to master it, which is why I've refused to post my stories here.
