I'm flattered at all the things you culled from my little tezuka/ryoma scenario, like them facing each other in the tennis match and the apartment with the tennis court and the fact that you just *wrote* this for me just because i asked you too! I'm still figuring them out to a large degree, and I thought, 'what a challenge it will be to write Tezuka in a moment like this convincingly.' But you totally took the right approach: he's Tezuka. He just--does it. No ceremony, no hesitation: Here's the key, would you like to move in. Gah. No wonder Ryoma is drawn to that. No wonder Ryoma understands it. It's just so very appropriate somehow--you really surprised me in the best way with the way you chose to present this scene.
Hahaha, I love that Ryoma's like, did you want me to join the tennis team again? Hahaha, he's totally screwing with Tezuka. :D :D :D And the deadpan rejoinder! He's been planning this for months! He's so totally two steps ahead of Tezuka in this relationship, clearly, and that fits well into the quantum physics-verse, doesn't it? And it also feels so right; not that Ryoma would be the leader, but just that he knows Tezuka so well--even though Tezuka says no one knows him better than he knows himself, Ryoma has always been his main competition, hasn't he?
Ryoma casually telling him that he's been in love with him for six years--is this a first honest confession or a given thing they don't even have to question by this point? I love that we don't know and you don't have to answer it--more fodder for a future QP-verse fic, perhaps! :D
And there will definitely be another QP-verse fic because someone has to write Tezuka table-dancing while smashed. o.O WOW. GO KUNIMITSU.
I also love how Ryoma has no question his parents will be like, 'okay, it's about time, see ya' to his confession about the boyfriend live-in thing. Clearly this is not just a long-term relationship but an open one, which just makes it so much cooler and seem so much more straightfoward and, just, there, a permanent part of their lives, you know?
Tezuka reached a hand up and ran his fingers through Ryoma's hair.
I died. Right there, I died and went to a special heaven made of tennis courts and pubescent boys who can't stop staring at each other.
"You're such a mystery. How do you do this?"
"I just... I just do, buchou. But it's only for you."

I almost think maybe this is too much, too much emotion for Ryoma to ever display comfortably even with Tezuka, but at the same time it makes me wonder what they are that they could come to be so casual and private but at the same time honest and open about such intimate feelings. GAH SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT.

How do they let each other in, and in what ways, and over how long a period of time? WHAT ABOUT THE TABLE DANCING?!
