Aves-vous un stylo?

Count to ten and breathe.

Heat is a struggle in this house. It is a big house with bad windows and no insulation. The furnace is 30 years old. We keep the temperature around 51ish at night and when no one is in the house. We keep it at 60ish during the day when there are people in the house. We have done several major projects to improve heating efficiency. We will be getting new windows eventually. We will be getting insulation eventually. On Monday, a company is coming by to determine if we can get a $6000 furnace for $1000. However, that doesn't help the fact that right now, this very moment, my hands hurt. The cold, especially at night, has really hurt my writing. I have no choice on the matter.

On Sunday we hosted our first party at the house. It was a gathering for the Camarilla holiday party, long past due. During the celebration, I was awarded the Member of the Year award. It was a true honor. I haven't found the words to express my gratitude on that yet. I'm still stunned. The party, also went great. This house is perfect for gatherings like that, we need more.

Finally, I am learning French. It is a slow and painful process. But I am learning it. I will learn French and take my wife to France. We will see Paris. We will see the Rhine. We will enjoy the country. And I will not be THAT tourist. However, I do not see myself learning the language in the immediate future. This will be a slow process. It will still happen.
