On Housing and Sleep

I worked a laid back day yesterday. Or rather, most of the residents slept all day yesterday so I got to spend most of my time in the office getting a ton of stuff done. Assuming I can keep this pace up at work, I should have a very easy month. If I can make this month go well, than I should be set at work. I have to just keep focused today and get as much done today as I can. This will make the rest of my month much, much easier.

Last night I managed to get some sleep. At least, I was in bed and asleep before 2:00 AM. Alice and I watched 13th Warrior. It has been a long time since I have seen that movie. The movie was good and would have been great if they had cast someone other than Antonio Banderas as a Persian. The guy neither looks nor sounds Persian. Anyway, after the movie we went up stairs. I wrote around 300 words, played Evil Genius for thirty minutes and then crawled into bed with Public Enemies. I'm very much enjoying the book. I read the entire prologue and first chapter which took me to until about 1:00 AM. I don't work tomorrow and can sleep in but I'd still like to go to bed early. It should help me get back into a normal sleep pattern.

The house is coming along just fine. Alice finished up unpacking the guest bedroom after I got the curtains up on the window. The room looks really, really nice. Our bedroom is mostly there but I still have some boxes I have to go through and I need to go through my bureau and rearrange things to make room. I also need to clean off the desk that will be used for sewing. A few organization projects should finish up this room. Oh, and I need a nightstand when I can afford it.

The basement is a fun area though. I have a workshop. I already have some fun plans underway including an alternative idea for the Dragon*Con Fairy parade in case I'm unable to get in shape enough to be a satyr.

For now, I'm going to have to get back to work and *gasp* get stuff done. Later.
