Tonight an old friend of my family come for dinner. He is a Polish priest who stayed in our parish from 1990 to 1994 and become a close friend of my parents. Every Christmas Advent he come back for a dozen of days, to help with the Christmas' houses blessings.
He bring us two present from Poland. :-)
In the last years he is usually accompanied by another Polish priest, who has only a general knowledge of Italian so our friend has to do some live translations from time to time. Well, honestly he speaks Italian way better than me speaking Polish (tata, mama, tak, nie, mleko, wody and that's all). Anyway, our friend was translating a bit of a discussion about air-planes from Milano to Poland and of course we were listening to it; at a certain point our friend said Mediolano, I went "Ah!" and he responded "You understand it!!!". Well, in a discussion about Milano you say Mediolano and the Latin original name of the city was Mediolanum, it's not so hard to get... Anyway, I went all mushy inside: common European origins which show off in our languages, awww!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥His visit brought up some memories of the period he stayed here and of the time we went to visit him in Poland. Nice memories. :-)
I would have so much to write about it, bit I'm so damn tired tonight. It's more then a week that I have very low blood pressure everyday, it's draining me. Damn, I'm not habit anymore to have this long periods of low pressure like I was a teenager, I wonder why it resurfaced so badly now.
Good night
