My Extreme Dream Filled Epic Win Weekend
So yeah i'm a couple of weeks late on updating about my Extreme Dream Filled Epic Win Weekend
So yeah I, HanaOkashii, and "I'm Your Pocky's" Pack Leader, KnightUtena, Went to Fanime 2010 as Reps for our Cosplay Group "I'm Your Pocky"
Fanime 2010 was my first ever Anime Con and I must say at first i found it very overwelming but it didn't take me long to become very comfertable and find my place amongst the amazing Cosplayers, gamers, artists, and otaku. ^.^
We traveled to San Jose on Day 1 after like 4 hours of sleep (i was like a little kid that knew they were going to Disney Land the next day to excited)
Day 1:
Hana's Cosplay: Street Clothed Amu
Anime: Shugo Chara
Knight's Cosplay: Madem Red
Anime: Black Butler
Waited in line for my nifty Pre-reg badge. And pretty much just wondered around with Knight-Sempai as my guide, helping me undstand things and what was going on. She's been to AX a couple of times so she had a better understanding of what a convention was like (even if it was her first Fanime Con) unlike my Newbie Ass, lol. First we went threw the Artist's Alley were we not only found a couple of our favorite Artists from DeviantArt but even more Artists with great talent to share.
Shortly after Artist Alley and pently of people taking Sempai's picture (she really was lovely ^.^ )we went to the Dealers Hall. ... I have now found my favorite place in a Con ^.^
The Merch Everywhere was EPIC! To my very pleasent suprise they were selling (brase yourself IV [ViViD] Fan's)...MABASHIBA lol i actually saw a girl with a "Mabashiba in a pod" and chased her down to the bathrooms to find out what stand was selling them (-.-' Gee Hana thats not creepy at all) But yeah, there was this one with a lot of Visual Kei they had SHOXX mags Band T's, CD's, stickers. it was VK Heaven. Thats where i got my LM.C T and SHOXX 20th mag from. Oh and there was this other stand the had pictures upon pictures of Visual Kei artists. Not only did he have pictures but he had cute clothes too. in fact he was modeling a really cute lotita dress. He was so cute, i just had to give him a hug! I also bought a Picture of Shou from Alice Nine off of him ^.^
So aside from the shopping and art hunting we went on a picture raid where wehen we saw a cosplay we liked we asked for pictures. it was great fun! There were TONS of Vocaloids, and i got my picture taken with The Mario Brothers ^.^
hmmm you know, reading this, it doesn't sound like we did that much but honestly, just those three things we did took up the whole day. It's amazing how fast the time went.
Day 2 coming soon. everything is flooding back at me and i'm getting confused and tired of typing ^.^'
