The happiest place one earth!!
Well happy Saturday everyone! So I'm going to go ahead and make a post about Disney World!
My mom, Lydia, and I left on Thursday right after school to go to the airport, and we got to Florida at around 10:30 or so. My cousin Abby (who is 4 and the most adorable thing ever!) came with my grandpa to pick us up from the airport. Oh, she is just too cute, I love her so much! She had been counting down for us to come visit her, and she was really excited! It took a long time to convince her to go to bed... we all went to sleep at about 12.
The next day we went to my aunt's house, who lives closer to Disney than my grandparents. Lydia's mom had to get a flight that morning, and my aunt had picked her up from the airport. So we headed over to the hotel, yay! We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which was so awesome! It was really pretty. We hung out there for a while, then went to dinner at Bahama Breeze (yumm). After that we went over to Downtown Disney. It was pretty busy, but not too bad... we got flipped off in the parking lot, which was just lovely, ahaha! But anyway, we shopped for a while. I got a book called "All Things Alice" and a cute tank top with Mickey and Minnie, and my Cheshire Cat Pook-a-Loo. We also got icecream at Ghirardelli's, which was soooo good! After that we went back to the hotel, got in the hot tub for a while, and then went to bed.
Saturday we took a bus to Animal Kingdom. We didn't do a ton there, but it was really fun. We got fastpasses for Expedition Everest as soon as we got there, and then went on the Safari Ride. That was probably the longest wait we had while we were at Disney, but I think it was worth it since it was a pretty long ride. And lots of animals were out, so it was cool! Then it was time for Everest, which was SOOO fun!!!! I'd never been on it before. And it wasn't even as terrifying as I thought it would be!! But I missed the big huge Yeti, whatt!? There were like, strobe lights flashing in the corner, and so I was distracted and didn't even notice it hanging above us, bahaha!! Well, after that we went to The Festival of the Lion King, which is awesome.
We left after that to hang out at the hotel for a while, and then Lydia and I went to EPCOT. We didn't really do anything. We went to France to get pastries (mmm, more food) and then sat and watched to fireworks. Aaah, it was so magical.
Sunday we checked out of our hotel, and went over to Magic Kingdom!! I think that's the best park by far. We managed to go on a ton of rides, so I won't go into a ton of details. Of course they were all magical and wonderful. While we were in line for thunder mountain, we met a kid named Tommy who was basically a real life version of Russel from Up. By the end of the ride he was out BFF! I was really excited that the main street electrical parade was back, and the fireworks were awesome (we almost saw a fight break out between a tiny asian man and a guy with a stroller, it was great XD). I didn't meet any characters... all of the lines were super long! The only ones we really saw were pooh and Tigger, who had a million kids lined up, and Flynn and Rapunzel. I wanted to meet them really badly, but it was just so long! Oh well, another time. I saw Peter Pan walking away while I was getting in line for the Snow White ride, and I was like "PETER PAN!!" and then he waved and I waved and it was awesome!
We went to the confectionery, and people sang happy birthday to me and Lydia (we had sashes and buttons) and we got free chocolate covered marshmallows, which was super cool! And then I actually turned 16 in the Magic Kingdom... AAHHH, SO MAGICAL. At like, 12:30 were in one of the stores and a worker asked me when my birthday was, and I was like "tomorrow... oh wait, it's today!" And then she yelled really loud and made everyone sing happy birthday to me. I got really red, but it was funny. So then it was about 1, and we had to leave. But we were all pretty tired and willing.
