Don't read this if you haven't seen Star Wars III.
As unheard of this sounds to me, and some of my close friends. I went to the premeire of Star Wars III, last night (or early this morning?).
Well All I can say about it is well... It was just okay. And when the movie was getting good, the old Lucas comic relief or poor staging ruined the fantastic build ups to key plots.
For instance.
(sarcastic tone.)
Their is a hilarious scene where R2 fights two battle droids, while hysterically dumping oil on them and then setting them ablaze.
A wookie does the Tarzan yell while swinging.
The wookie home planet is a tribute to the Star Wars: Holiday Special.
Speaking of Wookies: there is not a valid reason why they go to the wookie planet.
"Yoda the Wookies need help."
"Ah Friend of the Wookies we have been"
Then they're there for about 15 mins of the actual film.
Every "evil" droid has a cartoony riotous voice.
The ending seems completely rushed.
The setup for the scene where transformed Darth Vader steps of the operation table, is set up so god damn poorly that it looks goofy as hell. Which in most aspects would've ruined the entire film.
I mean here's the ultimate menacing figure. And his first scene he looks like a fucking derpish buffoon.
And he screams...Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Also it seems James Earl, was doing a Hayden impression.
After losing to the Emperor Yoda jumps gets picked up in a space car and tells the driver, "I am going into exile now."
Well there is a bit more I could go on about. But like I said the film is just okay.
I was their in a full star wars-themed costume, dressed as McDonald's Fries (seriously.) If someone would've asked what I was suppose to be,
My Reply would've been. "Oh I'm the mystical space fries, that traveled through numerous galaxies. Ever wonder why the Greasy cook in Episode II knew where the clone planet was when every one else did not?. I TOLD HIM!!!"
Jason was dressed in a pancho and mexi- hat (can't spell sumbrerro). Orion (James) was dressed as Prince. Darwin was the space chef. Rebecca was Riding hood. ( I don't recall what her theme was.)
I'm thinking of going home this weekend.
Watched Battle Royale, complete for roommate commentary.
Hmm that's about it for now.
