Additional fannishness

In squeeful fannish news: Vallista has a publication date! September according to Brust, Amazon has mid-October, but either way, it's a real book really coming out this year, woo! (And the Paarfi book, "The Baron of Magister Valley" is still under submission. Which is less squeeful, but at least I now know the full title. Is that... a Count of ( Read more... )

Yeah, it definitely did not live up to Zootopia and Inside Out, but I'd seen the trailer for it, which was for the most part the party at Leonard's (the headbanging poodle), and it was less dumb than the trailer implied. :)

Recipes for rabbit stew might do...

Haha! I will say, though, L liked the rabbit, second-best after Chloe. He's apparently voiced by an actor/comedian she likes, and she found it funny that (to quote her) "a small angry man" was playing a small, angry rabbit. Both both B and I were definitely not fans.

Chloe was the best part of the movie for sure -- I liked her character, and her lines, and I liked how catlike she was (one of L's favorite moments was when they're following Pops through the city and enter the window of this guy's apartment where he is sleeping on the couch -- and everybody tiptoes by, and she just walks on the sleeping guy, stepping on vital organs).

Will it be my favorite movie of the yer the way Inside Out was? Pretty sure it won't. But it was a fun way to pass an evening, and miles more entertaining than Suicide Squad!

Ah yes, that's forgivable then, even if I'm in team with you and B. XD

Also how she reminds them they saved Sweetpea from some feline, and dismissing as totally irrelevant that said feline happened to be her. :) And how she sits in a box too small for her.

Aw, I must've missed the box part, but I loved the "the identity of the random cat is not important" line :D

Their first scene together. :) It doesn't really draws the attention to that. She just does it like a sort of background action, like a human sitting on a random chair when talking. That's why it's so perfect. XD

Right, I couldn't recall her exact wording! :D

...probably because I watched in Polish, so okay, nevermind. XD
