Kristof/Miklosh and Cairo/Niko just for the lulz of it :DD

I'm looking forward to your Warchild write-ups! I can't pull myself together to produce one myself for some reason (I think my thoughts are still in picture mode, probably), but maaaaybe I'll get there.

And yes, I think it was me who you talked to about Norse mythology lending itself better to the Riordan shenanigans.

Memes to come, but wanted to let you know that I finished Cagebird on the flight up, as planned. Not that this brings me anywhere close to the write-up, but I am caught up now at least :)

Meanwhile, I applaud your picture mode and wish you luck with Dorr's ponytail and other hairy dilemmas :D

Heh, good to know! Verdict? (Mine was, I need book 4 stat lol, or at least ten more vignettes!!)

My picture mode was defeated yesterday by wanting to read and sleep XD I think my body is going into hibernation mode, faced my the imminent prospect of spending this weekend in Kzn.

Looking forward to meme answers whenever they come!

I hope you have a good visit with family, despite your understandable lack of enthusiasm at the prospect ♥

My verdict is probably "NEEDS MOAR AZARCONS", heh, but my full post on book 2 and 3 is up now. I do want to see book 4, and also, yes, a dozen more vignettes set on Macedon or in Cairo's past. A Sid POV one would be nice!

Thanks! -_- maybe it won't be too bad, but mom has giving me a lot of phonecall drama recently (YOU DONT CAAAALL DO YOU NOT CAAARE aka same shit that has been happening since i turned 17 and left.)

I've never thought about a Sid POV, huh. I wonder in what terms he thinks of Cairo :D

I'm sorry <33

I'm also really curious how Sid thinks of Cairo (bit surprise, I know XP) but also would love to see Ryan through his eyes. I mean, it's obvious how much Sid loves him and worries about him, but I feel like seeing his exact mix of love and exasperation and fond disbelief that a person like that can exist at all outside of anime would be very amusing.

Also, just how much he wants to deck Dorr... (I'm guessing a lot).

who cries when someone dies in a movie
I'm just... genuinely trying to imagine this. Captain Stoic and Captain Stoicer, crying over a movie. I think the only possible answer to this is that they're watching, like, a war movie and the scene is so ridiculously overstaged and makes so little sense from a tactical or physically possible or in any way non-idiotic perspective that Cairo starts laughing, and laughs so hard that tears come out of his eyes. That's all I've got.

who wears the ugly holiday garbCairo totally puts on the faded and frayed and lumpy sweater Dr Ramchandar knitted for him and sent him while he was away at the Academy. It's black, just like he likes it, but features, IDK, Santa dressed in a pilot's uniform or something equally eye-bleeding ( ... )

who travels more
They are both deep space captains. I think it's safe to say that it's kind of a tie.

who spends more cash
It seems like their ships are the only things they spend money on, and Macedon is bigger, plus Azarcon is rehabilitating all his hoodlums and letting them take art history classes and donating money to orphan funds, so he spends more.

who buys the things in infomercials
Ryan, when he's bored. But Cairo actually tries out the cooking gadgets, and some of them are pretty handy.

who draws in the dust on their cars
Dorr. He draws, like, winky faces and writes "love, Cairo" in the dust of... Turundrlar? let's pretend spaceships get dusty, OK.

who starts the snowball fights
Also Dorr, most likely. But then, like, Azarcon decides that it would make for a good joint exercise to stage a snowball battle, involving both crews and thousands of snowballs worth of ammunition.

who throws away the directions to thingsCairo. He knows EXACTLY where he's going and what he is doing, thank you very much, he doesn't need some ( ... )

my thoughts exactly! :D and Niko cannot comprehend and takes notes on human humor :DD (later Ryan will have a blast elaborating on them at everyone's expense)

The sweater is so adorbs ;A;

then hand it off to Yuri, to be properly loved :D
*shakes with laughter* i wonder if yuri realizes his appointed role in this book :DD he's literally doing the same shit as evan XD

Elaborate on why Cairo is Slytherin secondary? and why model? *curious*

ehabilitating all his hoodlums and letting them take art history classes and donating money to orphan funds, so he spends more.
<3 <3 <3 CAIROOOO.

I'm laughing so hard that from "who buys the things in infomercials" shippy meme answers turned into ensemble shenanigans, and no regrets XD

Haha, yeah, I can just see Niko's bewildered but curious and willing-to-understand look, while Cairo is laughing too hard to explain anything.

(Come to think of it, I don't even know if it's Doctor Grandma that knits the sweater of Ashrafi. For some reason I could see Ashrafi with a domestic arts hobby like that -- soothing and productive.)

ASHRAFI KNITTING omg here's a thing I hadn't known I needed! :DD

Poor Yuri, designated cuddler of woebegone fuzzy animals :P
laughing forever while Finch just nods in agreement :D

With Cairo sorting, I've no idea for the secondary tbh (I agree it's Slytherin primary!). I mean, it could be Gryffindor with a heavy Slythering modelling, or Ravenclaw with same (we don't know enough about how he makes decisions to gauge that I think). His whole 'shove your stupid orders where sun don't shine' seems a bit too inflexible for a slytherin (and like, doesn't really help him get along with authorities or whatever), and possibly only natural for a neutral slytherin, and yet this whole falcone upbringing suggests it's not neutral at all. so maybe gryf learnt to do impulse control with modelling slytherin? *scratches head*

Decided, then. Ashrafi knits the lumpy pilot!Santa sweater. That feels more appropriate somehow.

I think Cairo makes decisions too quickly to be a Ravenclaw secondary (front line military sounds like a terrible place to be for a secondary Ravenclaw, because you constantly need to be changing stuff, and you probably never have enough DATA).

He did manage to get along with authority enough to graduate from the Academy and get a Captaincy and put in charge of Macedon, so I think he's able to be flexible when he really needs to, and just thinks he doesn't need to most of the time -- I mean, he does live in his own floating city, basically, where his word is law, it must make it difficult to take orders ( ... )

DATA, aww <3 (Speaking of Ravenclaw secondaries, did you know that CP3 will have some chapters from Laurent's pov? SO ExCITED!! Though Алеша Птицын вырабатывает характер и даже не читал ch1-2, released as sneak peak, out of the fear that I will simply expire :D)

And yes to everything you said about Cairo - I had Austro lockdown in mind as well when I suggested Gryff, too:)

I did not know about Laurent POV! That should be interesting! I am really curious to see what mix of exasperated and fond Laurent is re: Damen's obliviousness XD

Also, I'm very proud of your vyderzhka! :D

who cries when someone dies in a movie
I could actually see Kristof shedding a noble tear, especially if the situation or the person dying reminds him of some of his students he lost.

who wears the ugly holiday garb
It wouldn't surprise me if Kristof has some old-ass sentimental value thing he dusts off and puts on for the holidays, maybe a cloak.

who pays for the meals
Right, back to blondes and redheads, but, yeah, Kristof would be the only one who would care to compensate the "food".

who slams the oven door and who plays the trombone
Now this is an absolutely hilarious image. Miklos would bitch and moan about having to play something as plebeian and unelevated as a trombone, but then actually kind of get carried away with it and be bossing Kristof around because he's not slamming the oven door sufficiently in tune with his playing. Kristof just kind of tries to tune him out and wonders how he gets himself into these insane activities.

who brings home stray animalsDefinitely Kristof. Although in this case they are terrifying ( ... )
