First of all, Happy New Year, dear f-list! There is a distressing number of people I know for whom 2015 sucked tremendously, so here's a wish for a much, much better 2016! And those of you who enjoyed a lovely year, may 2016 be even better

The lavender tissue paper was a bit of an accident, since I didn't know if I'd need it (real hazy on the Russian Post box sizes, ngl), but in retrospect, it was probably a subconscious choice of color on my part XD I'm very glad to notebook is to your liking! After I bought it I started wondering whether it's a bit much with its distinctly acidic comments and stuff, but phew, good thing you found it funny! ^^
Hah, I knew the hexagonal shape was bound to be a hit :D The lovely paper I used is Finnish in origin, courtesy of theadaze, so the box is megainternational! Somehow the pattern makes me think of Christmas even though it's not explicitly winter motifs or Christmas colors or anything. I'm glad it found its rightful owner and even had a predestined spot on the shelf :D ( ... )

Oh no, it's definitely the kind of humour I approve of! Especially when it comes to the workplace, even though I do enjoy my work :)
so the box is megainternational! Oh wow, that makes it even cooler! :DD And the pattern definitely feels holiday-y to me as well -- I think the round circle things make me think of both ornaments in a tree and confetti from New Year hlopushki/Christmas crackers, is why ( ... )

The alcohol did not come in the parcel (I think it's probably illegal to ship internationally into the US anyway...) but the monkey bottle on my parents' table was a perfect friend for my new stuffed monkey :)

Oo, gril'yazh, I love it so much, my favorite candy too. Fun gifts!
My parents, Bear and I were all born in a monkey year, Tanya is the only non-monkey among us -she's a horse - so this year was greeted with excitement. We have lots of various toy and craft monkeys in the house especially because it's my Dad's favorite animal. I hope this year will be a silly monkey year.

Oh, wow, this is/will be a special year for you then! My parents and aunt M are all pigs (well, sorta. My father has a January birthday, so he's technically still born in the previous year, by Chinese Zodiac proper, but nobody cares about that :P) -- so year of the pig is always a big deal with my family. I'm a horse, like Tanya :) -- which isn't a very exciting sign, but a nice solid one. My brother gets to be a dragon, and L a snake, which is, IMO, much cooler :P
