a) Which Hogwarts house I think they’d belong in
Miles, ah, Miles... Miles is a Slytherin who forces the hat to put him in Gryffindor by sheer force of will, because he wants to be a brave knight and wants to live up to his father's legacy (Aral was in Gryffindor because he knew that's what Piotr expected of him and was hoping the Hat would put him there, and it obliged, though I think he's at least as much Hufflepuff as Gryff).
Ivan, on the other hand, wants to keep a low profile, so he'd be one of those rare people who would ask to be put in Hufflepuff, even though he is probably really a laid-back Gryffindor like Lee Jordan or something.
b) Which position they’d play in Quidditch
Miles is really the perfect Chaser -- compact, quick-thinking, strategically minded, insanely driven. And, well, he might be a tad fragile, but Wizarding healing is a lot faster than even high-tech medicine in the Vorkosiverse, so they'll be able to patch him up when he inevitably shatters his bones at the end of each game. (One of the Beaters, Bothari, is permanently assigned to keeping bludgers away from Miles during the part of the game before the Snitch appears.) Miles also has a tendency to take over the team strategy even as a first-year, and eventually everyone just gives in and lets him run the show.
Ivan doesn't want the responsibility of being a Keeper, and Uncle Aral has trained him too well that We Don't Hit Girls for him to be comfortable playing Beater, given the co-ed teams, and he definitely doesn't have the drive to play Seeker, but he makes a solid Chaser, who is very happy supplying assists more than scoring himself, especially as it makes the female Chasers on his team more favorably disposed towards him.
c) What their favorite class would be
Miles -- Defense Against the Dark Arts, and he keeps coming up with non-traditional defenses and effective spells that rather narrowly skirt Unforgivable territory (but would only be used in the defense of Right) and basically dragging every bit of information he's learned in his other classes back into the DADA curriculum and weaponizing it. (Miles also quite likes the Care of Magical Creatures classes, especially hippogryffs.)
Ivan is a totally indifferent student in all of his classes, though he does decently well -- enough to avoid scolding from his mother at any rate (not that Alys would be so crass as to send a Howler, but he would hear plenty about it at home and in really scathing letters). He likes Herbology because it's easy and relaxing and, as his head of house, Professor Sprout knows him better than all the other profs, who tend to overlook him, and also because the greenhouse offers some secluded spots where he can flirt with girls.
d) Which memory a dementor would force them to relive
Miles: no shortage there, really. The time his suit malfunctioned and he almost killed the man he was rescuing. Getting sacked by Illyan. Dying...
Ivan: being trapped in a compartment filling with water in Brothers in Arms, since he's clearly still strongly affected by this years later.
e) What they would see in the Mirror of Erised
Miles: Himself wearing the uniform of a Barrayaran admiral, with his father and grandfather looking on proudly and Gregor shaking his hand in gratitude for some great victory.
Ivan: You know, the end of Captain Vorpatril's Alliance probably comes pretty close -- or any situation where he has minimal responsibility and a cheerful, buxom wife :)
