Menstruation
My hamster Asia had her period a couple days after i got her. it freaked me out at first but i found a site online that said it was ok as long as it lasted just a couple days. it lasted only a day (from what i saw anyways).
also her poo is soft but her tail isnt (or wasnt) wet, so i took it to be diarrhea and not wet tail. are hamster pellets supposed to be hard or a little soft? i had rats before and theirs were always quite firm.
other than that she's been very good. she doesn't run her wheel as much anymore but i put her in the hamster ball every night and she's constantly running around the house until i take her out. she's also been eating every night and drinking water regularly. she doesn't bite me at all- i even woke her up this morning to clean her cage and she was fine with me handling her.

yesterday i noticed that her tail was starting to look a little wet. and tonight i noticed that her tail area was matted down a bit, so i took her out and saw a stain all over her bottom. i looked at it closer and it had a reddish tint. i think she has her period again.
???!
is she ill? stressed maybe?
& does anyone know where in san francisco i could take her if she is sick? i don't have a lot of money and im actually in debt with bills. maybe someone could suggest a home remedy as well??
