Eek! Water bottle warning.
Yeti went without water for almost a day because of this! We're just glad he's okay now and we addressed the problem. Poor little guy!
A buildup of calcium deposits from our water blocked it from being able to come out of the tube and the poor fluffman couldn't get a drink. Luckily he sleeps most of the day but we noticed him tugging at the bottle and were like "why is the bottle still full, um duuuhhhh here let me shake it/poke it/etc." A few minutes of fiddling and peering in it with a flashlight finally revealed the problem, which we addressed by first dousing with baking soda and vinegar (didn't work, which devastated me, baking soda and vinegar has never failed me in the past), then by chipping out with a tiny screwdriver. Washed, refilled, and replaced the bottle. WE CAN HAZ DRINK.
Anyone have this issue before? Know any good ways to clear out the blockage? I'll keep them on file for the future.
Washing and filling isn't the end of it-- make sure your bottle is working too!
