Washing gummy eyes?
Hi everyone! My hammy, Layla, woke up with a gummy eye this morning. I looked it up, and it doesn't sound or look like an infection, so the site just advised washing the area with a lukewarm saline solution to get rid of the gummies. So I've got that -
- but Layla's a bit nippy, and I have no idea how to go about this. Is there a particular way to handle hamsters when you're doing something like this with them? Or will I just have to put on gloves/wear very long sleeves and deal with the bites? Any advice from people who've had to do something similar with their hamster would be very much appreciated.
