Unusual color?

My dwarf, Snake, isn't that typical tan color. I figured that it wasn't really uncommon, but I just see more and more of people's pictures and nobody has a dwarf that looks like Snake

I used to have a dwarf that looked like him. :) Mine was a female named Gadget. I think the grey ones are massive cuteness! ♥

Your hamster is a Campbells dwarf. They are bred to hundreds of different colors and coat patterns. It's not exactly an 'unusual coat', they're very common. The hamster breeder I go to pretty much only ends up with non normal coats, even mottled. In petsmart and etc, they usually charge extra money for a different coat color, despite no actual difference in variety.

my last girl was almost that color, just a little bit more bluish-gray.
