dry skin/fur loss - fish oil?
so harriet has been experiencing some fur loss on her lower half. mostly around the sides where her scent glands are. i also noticed she had some dry skin going on too, sort of like dandruff.
i called the vet and she advised giving her some fish oil orally and to see if that had any results after a couple weeks. harriet has been scratching at the dry skin areas but not so much that it seems bothersome and otherwise shes ok. i can tell shes getting older though. when she gets up she looks like she has all over bedhead and generally she looks a lil more disheveled and frailer.

anyway, i tried giving her the fish oil today. i put it in a lil dropper and i had treats ready but turns out she liked it! she gobbled it up from the dropper like a lil piggy. hee.
have any of you tried this or something else for fur loss/dry skin?
its disconcerting to see her pink wrinkly skin instead of the cute snugglypants im used to, and i dont like seeing her scratching herself or biting herself.
