and they are TINY D:
looking at images online I'm guessing they're maybe three-four weeks old or so. I was originally only planning on getting one, but the person trying to adopt them out was really desperate to give me two. so I agreed, figuring the worst that could happen is they may need to be separated into different bins later on.
I'm going to edit and post pictures after I get home from dinner, but what I'm worried about is:
am I going to have to do something to keep them warm? they are eating and drinking perfectly fine on their own, but I can't help but worry that they've been separated from the mother too soon.
She assured me that they're both females- but when I got home and looked up baby hamsters I started to wonder if they were really old enough to tell. What is a good age to start sexing hamsters?
Edit 2: While I'm editing stuff I might as well ask, does anyone know where I can order oxbow or mazuri food from that will ship to canada? For the time being I've bought some suspect-looking kaytee-brand stuff, but I'm concerned that they're going to selectively pick out the goodies and possibly even fight over the good stuff.
