I just recently adopted a Syrian hamster "Buttons," and he currently resides in a Hartz Playcity cage. It's an older model, about ten years old. Actually, it is the one that I used when I had hamsters as a kid. Originally, I thought that it would be fine, but my husband and I are starting to have concerns, basically the plastic is starting to become brittle and we are concerned about ventilation, needless to say, we are on the market for a new living arrangement for Buttons. At first, I was going to buy the new version of the Hartz cage, but after seeing a previous post to this community, I am scared to do so. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good, safe, home that we could get for Buttons? We would prefer to get something with lots of tunnels and accesories.
Thanks!
