Sungjong, Sungyeol and Myungsoo are home by the time they get back with the food and they’re all over Sunggyu and the manager for the food as soon as they step through the door.
“Calm down children,” Sunggyu chides. “Wash your hands first and the food will be ready when you come out,”
The five members race each other to the bathroom, shoving and elbowing each other, bickering loudly all the way. “They’re like little kids,” Manager-hyung laughs as he helps Sunggyu put the noodles in bowls.
Sunggyu nods his agreement and gets a tray to put the bowls on to take out. Five minutes later finds them sitting together on the floor and slurping their noodles, the manager having left for his own home with a reminder to “Sleep early boys. You have a radio show at 6 in the morning tomorrow then a talk show before you’re free for the rest of the day,”
He leaves with the other manager, catching each other up on how the boys were today, the door closing solidly and lock clicking in place. Dinner is quiet affair tonight because everyone’s just too tired to bother with conversations. It’s close to midnight by now and Woohyun isn’t back yet. It leaves a pit of unease in Sunggyu’s stomach and he doesn’t have the appetite to finish the rest of his dinner, passing his bowl off to a ravenous Sungjong and opting to take a shower before heading to bed.
“Remember to wash up okay?” he reminds them before heading to the bathroom. As soon as the door closes and the shower starts running, Howon speaks up, voice hushed. “Anyone notice what’s wrong?”
He’s greeted with blank looks from everyone and he blows out a sigh, exasperated. “Look at how of Sunggyu-hyung is! He always finished his dinner,”
“Now that you mention it, he was kinda off at singing practice today. He hardly ever is,” Dongwoo says thoughtfully, licking the remnants of soup off his lips.
“I think it’s because of Woohyun-hyung,” Sungjong pipes up when he’s done eating the remains of Sunggyu’s noodles. “Since we’re taking time to discuss what’s up with Sunggyu-hyung, I thought I should mention this,”
Myungsoo ruffles the maknae’s hair, earning a bright smile from the youngest as he says quietly, “I think Woohyun’s the main factor here. I mean, I’ve noticed that leadergyu was a little off when Woohyun was asked to dance with… oh,” Myungsoo trails off, face lighting up, seeming like as though he’s figured something out.
“What?” Sungyeol says impatiently, poking Myungsoo’s side to get him to talk and stop looking so dreamy. “What is it Soo-hyung?” Sungyeol whines. Myungsoo is about to reply when Sunggyu steps out of the bathroom, ready for bed as he dries his hair.
“Night guys,” he says quietly, slipping into his room and giving the members a fleeting smile before the door shuts.
They wait for a moment before Myungsoo says, “I think Sunggyu is jealous,”
There’s a quiet uproar amongst the members as they bounced this idea off each other. “I think he is too,” Dongwoo agrees eventually after a moment of furious whispering between him and Howon. “But of what?” he questions, confused.
“Of Miae and Woohyun, duh!” Sungjong states, rolling his eyes.
“Why?” Sungyeol says. “I thought Woohyun and Sunggyu were together?”
“They are Yeollie-ah,” Myungsoo explains patiently. “It’s just that it’s come to a point where Woohyun is exposed to a talented and admittedly pretty girl,” Sungjong snorts here and mutters something that sounds suspiciously like ‘I’m way more pretty than she is,’. “And he thinks he likes her. Or maybe it isn’t that. Maybe it’s just that Woohyun likes spending time with her,”
“But I thought Woohyun liked spending time with Sunggyu!” Sungyeol pouts.
“He does,” Howon says tiredly, leaning back against the wall and rubbing a hand over his face. “We just have to remind him of it,”
“How?” Dongwoo asks, reaching out and massaging Howon’s shoulder with a hand, earning a grateful look from the dancer. Sungjong grins wickedly and gestures for them to come closer.
“By making Woohyun jealous,”

The next day passes by uneventfully, the radio show going well except for the fact that Sunggyu’s chosen to seat himself between Myungsoo and Dongwoo instead of next to Woohyun. Woohyun shoots the leader a confused look but sits next to Sungyeol anyways, getting a little annoyed when he sees Dongwoo is all up into Sunggyu’s personal space, the leader doing nothing to stop it and smiling widely as he laughs silently in response to whatever Dongwoo’s said.
The talk show they were meant to attend is cancelled because of the rain as it was meant to be held outside. It’s rescheduled to another day and the members are dropped off at the dorm with warnings from the managers to, “Be good okay? We’re going to get you guys some ice cream and watermelon,”
Sunggyu decides that he’d like to get a nap seeing as they’ve got the entire day off and he voices it. “I’m going to go take a nap. Wake me up when the ice cream gets here,” he yawns widely, words slurred as he trudges off to his room.
Woohyun is about ready to stand and offer to take a nap with the leader when Sungjong leaps up. “Hyung, can I nap with you?” he says adorably, smiling and tilting his head just right. It has Sunggyu melting and smiling wearily, offering a hand to the maknae as they go into the room together.
Woohyun manages to sit still for half an hour whilst the others are laughing and playing around him before he stands up with an excuse. “I’m going to go see if Sunggyu-hyung’s alright,” And he leaves.
The other four smirks when they sense the obvious jealousy Woohyun has in his voice and very nearly laughs when Woohyun comes back pouting. “They’re cuddling!” he says, outraged. “I’m the one who cuddles with Gyu when he takes a nap! Not Sungjongie!”
“There, there hyung,” Howon says, pinching his own thigh to keep from laughing. “You can cuddle with our almighty leader tonight. Let the maknae have some quality time with the leader,”
Woohyun sulks, turning down the offer to play Monopoly with them and slinks off to a corner to listen to his MP3.
The rest of the day continues like this with the members cutting into Woohyun’s time spent with the leader and replacing Woohyun in whatever he normally does with the leader.
Like feeding Sunggyu watermelon. Sungyeol had gotten there first with a large slice of watermelon in hand, shifting to sit next to the leader and offering it to him. “Want some hyung?” he asks brightly. “It’s one of the larger slices!”
Sunggyu smiles and accepts it, taking a bite from the slice and pushing the rest to Sungyeol, laughing softly when Sungyeol gets watermelon juice all over his face and wipes it up with a placid admonishment to, “Eat properly Yeol-ah,”
It even happens when Sunggyu is sitting in another corner, a cushion pillowing his back as he read his book. Normally, Woohyun likes to join him and lie on the leader’s lap as he read but this time Howon seems to have gotten there first.
Woohyun comes out of the bathroom to find his lover smiling down at Howon whose head rested on Sunggyu’s lap. He seemed to be murmuring something that had Sunggyu shaking his head fondly and stroking Howon’s cheek. Woohyun feels a flare of jealousy at that loving touch and fumes alone in his room, thumping Sunggyu’s pillow for a good measure.
By the time night falls, Woohyun is worn out from his sulking and fuming, sticking to Sunggyu like glue even as they ate dinner, his lover giving him a confused look when Woohyun’s arm blocked his hand’s journey from the bowl to his mouth.
“Woohyun-ah,” Sunggyu chastises. “Don’t lean on me when I’m trying to eat,”
“I didn’t see you complaining when Sungyeol did it earlier today,” Woohyun sneers, pressing even closer if it were possible. Sunggyu frowns. “And what do you mean by that?” he asks as calmly as possible, feeling the control he had on his feelings fray.
“I meant that maybe you should remember it’s me who’s your lover not Sungyeol or Sungjong or any of the members for that matter!” Woohyun says loudly in turn.
“Don’t you dare raise your voice at me Nam Woohyun,” Sunggyu grits out quietly. “And what’s the problem with me wanting to spend some quality time with the members during our free time? It isn’t like you remember I’m your lover when you’re out with Miae and all over her!” Sunggyu’s speech ends in a shout and he breathes heavily, slamming the plate down on the floor and pushing Woohyun away, standing up.
“Don’t you dare walk away Kim Sunggyu!” Woohyun snarls, standing up fluidly and snagging the leader’s wrist in a tight grip.
“Let go,” Sunggyu says, attempting to tug his wrist out of the painful grip. “Let me go Woohyun!” he explodes. Woohyun looks taken aback for a moment as the members watch the slowly getting out of control argument in shocked silence.
“No! I don’t want to! Because then you’d probably go skipping off to spend time with Dongwoo or Myungsoo or heck, even one of our managers!”
“How dare you?” Sunggyu hisses, tears welling up in his eyes. “Don’t you dare do this to me Nam Woohyun. Don’t you dare,” With a strength Woohyun didn’t know his lover had, Sunggyu rips his wrist out of Woohyun’s hold and stalks off to Dongwoo and Myungsoo’s room.
“That isn’t your room!” Woohyun shouts angrily but is ignore as the door is slammed. Woohyun kicks the wall to release his anger and hisses when his foot throbs, limping into his room and slamming the door.
The members remain still as they catch a broken sob coming from Dongwoo and Myungsoo’s room and thumping from Woohyun and Sunggyu’s room.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen,” Sungyeol says in horror, their food forgotten and left cold. “Woohyun-hyung was supposed to get jealous and then show Sunggyu-hyung he loved him. Not make Sunggyu-hyung cry,”
By then, Sungjong looked closed to tears as he leans on Myungsoo. “What do we do now?” Dongwoo asks helplessly.
“I say we give Woohyun a good talking to,” Myungsoo says, a steely glint in his eyes as he wraps his arms around Sungyeol and Sungjong, squeezing them in a brief hug before letting go.
Howon smirks. “Exactly what I was thinking. Jong-ah, why don’t you go and grab your teddy bear? I know exactly what we’re going to say to Woohyun,”
__
Woohyun is angry, very angry but also guilty as he throws his books across the room in order to vent his anger. He throws himself on his mattress and screams into his pillow. This wasn’t supposed to happen. The relationship he had with the older singer had always been easy going and warm. It had never been like this with tears and arguments.
‘We’ve never even had this big of an argument before,’ Woohyun thinks glumly, wincing when he remembers his accusation of Sunggyu going off with one of their managers. “I can’t believe I said that,” he mutters morosely. “It’ll be a miracle if Gyu doesn’t hate me by now,”
He sighs and groans in frustration when someone knocks on his door. “Go away!” he snaps. The door is thrown open anyways and the members minus Sunggyu strolls in, Howon leading them and Myungsoo shutting the door as they sit on the floor before Woohyun’s mattress.
“What do you want?” Woohyun growls.
“We want to talk,” Howon says calmly. “About recent happenings,”
The rest nods in agreement and Myungsoo says coldly, “You see hyung, the only reason we cut into your quality time was so that you’d realize it was what you were doing to Sunggyu-hyung,”
“You were supposed to get jealous and then declare your love for leadergyu but you ended up making him cry,” Sungyeol continues.
“Gyu’s crying?” Woohyun asks, shocked. His never seen the leader cry before. Even if Sunggyu did cry, he never did it in front of the members.
“Yes, because of what you said. You said some pretty nasty stuff back there,” Dongwoo glares, crossing his arms.
“So you better go apologise to hyung and clear things up,” Sungjong bites out bitchily. “Or else, this is going to happen to you,”
He holds the bear out with a hand and pummels its face with the other violently. Howon winces as he adds, “And you wouldn’t want Sungjongie to get his hands on you. I was hit by him yesterday in his sleep and it hurt like fuck,”
“So go clean up your mess!” Myungsoo snaps before standing up and leaving, the members trailing after him, Sungjong staying behind.
“You better,” he says lowly and gives the bear one last vicious punch, leaving the room after.
Woohyun sits on his mattress, his mind not quite processing the fact that his dongsaengs and Dongwoo had threatened him. He’d never seen such a violent look on the normally cute Sungjong either. When everything finally falls into place, Woohyun is tearing out of the room, his words tumbling out of his mouth as he does. “Oh my god. Sunggyu. Sunggyu-ah,”
He throws open the door to Dongwoo and Myungsoo’s room, earning a yelp of pain from his lover as he clutches at his forehead. “What was that for you ass?” he hisses, glaring wetly at Woohyun, sniffling miserably as he rubs at the sore spot.
Woohyun drinks in the sight of Sunggyu’s tear streaked cheeks and puffy eyes, feeling guilty when he sees the red mark from where he’d gripped the leader’s wrist a little too tightly earlier on.
He drops to his knees and reaches out to touch Sunggyu, heart aching when Sunggyu flinches. “What do you want now Woohyun?” Sunggyu murmurs tiredly. “I don’t want to argue with you and I’m tired okay,”
“I’m sorry Sunggyu,” Woohyun says earnestly, stroking the older singer’s elbow gently. “I’m sorry I forgot about you and I’m sorry I hurt you by spending too much time with Miae,”
Sunggyu observes him carefully for a moment before sighing. “I don’t think I was angry at you at all,” he admits, tears falling freely from his eyes as he starts sobbing quietly. Woohyun shuffles over to Sunggyu and takes him in a warm embrace, gentle words of love falling from his lips as he held the hurting leader to his chest, reveling in the feel of Sunggyu in his arms.
Minutes later, Sunggyu’s sobbing subsides and he sniffles pitifully, wrapping his arms around Woohyun’s torso after a moment of hesitation. “I’m sorry too,” Sunggyu says, hushed. “I didn’t mean to shout at you,”
Woohyun laughs wetly. “I said some mean stuff to you too so I guess we’re even,”
He pulls back from the hug a brushes away the tears the older had shed and presses a kiss to his lover’s nose. Woohyun takes the hand he left a mark on a kisses the forming bruise gently and lovingly.
“I’m sorry for hurting you,” Woohyun says, his words holding more meaning than just one. “I know. You’d never do it intentionally,” Sunggyu smiles softly, leaning up and joining their mouths in a sweet kiss.
“I love you,” he breathes out, their foreheads pressed together and Woohyun sucks in a breath as though breathing in Sunggyu’s confession.
“Love you too Gyu,” he murmurs in response.
Epilogue:
They’re curled up together back in their room in the middle of where their mattresses are joined when Sunggyu asks, “What suddenly made you come running to apologise?”
Woohyun is reluctant to answer, sure that Sunggyu would laugh if he told him. “Tell me,” Sunggyu insists, jabbing Woohyun with a finger.
“The dongsaengs and Dongwoo threatened me,” Woohyun mumbles reluctantly. “And Sungjong freaked me out when he started bashing his teddy bear’s face in,”
Sunggyu laughs, bright and unrestrained as he hugs Woohyun. “Aish,” he says fondly. “I can’t believe the maknae managed to get one over you,” And he starts snickering again, stopping when Woohyun pins him down with pout.
“Stop laughing,” he grumbles.
“Make me,” Sunggyu grins.

In the living room, the members smile, proud at what they’d managed to achieve. “Good job guys,” Howon says happily. “You did your roles well!”
“Sungjong was the scariest,” Dongwoo laughs, rubbing the back of his head. “It freaked me out too. Woohyun would have to be crazy to not take Sungjong seriously,”
“But whoever says I was acting hyung?” Sungjong asks sweetly, his smile dripping with saccharine sweetness. And his hyung-deul shuddered. They’d know now to never cross an angry Sungjong.
Somewhere on Sungjong’s bed, the teddy bear cries at the horrible abuse it faced in order to get Woogyu back together.
