I am pro choice because...

I am pro choice because I am a woman, and nobody has any say in what happens to my body except me, you do not know my life experiences, you do not know what I can and cannot handle, say or do, only I know that. Only the individual truly knows what they are capable of and as ultimately the burden of pregnancy, childbirth, and child rearing falls on women so too should the decision to continue a pregnancy or to abort it. I am pro choice because pregnancy is very difficult on a woman's physical and mental health and should never be something one is forced into, because every child should be brought into this world out of love, no child should be a punishment. I am pro choice because abortion is not cruel and in humane, forcing a woman to give birth to a child who is a product of rape/incest is. I am pro choice because regardless of whether or not abortions are legal or illegal women will still seek them out, nothing will change that and would you rather a woman face one of the toughest decisions of their life alone in a back ally or in a clean safe clinic with professionals? I am pro choice because women deserve to know the truth about their bodies, sex, disease, and protection, not just abstinence. I am pro choice because pro life doesn't give a damn about the fetus and they certainly don't give a damn about the woman, they only want to punish her for spreading her legs. I am pro choice because nobody has the right to say who can and cannot have children, because countless WOC have been and are currently being subjected to forced sterilization, and that quite frankly is disgusting. I am pro choice because none of these women and countless others should have died.
