It was amazing. every time I go to a GLSEN conference, I get inspired to do better things, haha. I want to do a summit in april, and a teacher training in march, and a candlelit ceremony for the transgender day of rememberence.
It's just kind of sad to come home, because when I'm there, the whole idea is to make everyone completely comfortable. I feel so accepted, so free, I don't restrain myself at all. I'm able to just completely be who I am. I can only do that at home when I'm with JUST one friend. And really only Liz, Jelisa, Shelly, or Shannon.
I love that free feeling, and it's so exhilerating to have it in that big of a group. It's so perfect there. We have so much fun and there's no deceit or gossip or lying or popular and unpopular kids. It's all just...above that.
Well, I hope we have another event soon...
