Дублирую сюда мою фейсбучную* запись, приуроченную к 8-ому марта. Принцип делегитимации применим, конечно же, не только к дамской теме.
Delegitimation of one's freedom by questioning the morality of it's usage is a great way to control people.
You say "women should be able to walk freely and safely anywhere, during any time of day", and they ask you "what a good woman has to do downtown, alone at night?".
You say "women should have a control over their bodies", and they ask you "how a good, moral woman will get an unwanted pregnancy?".
You say "women should be able to wear whatever clothes they want", and they ask you "why would a humble woman want to look like a slut?".
You say "women should not be forced to have sex", and they ask you "is it a rape when it's your husband you have sex with? Is it a rape if you kissed him first? Is it man's fault if you were wearing a short skirt?".
You say "women should be able to speak freely and work among men as an equal", and they ask you "why would a devoted wife and mother want to be surrounded by foreign men 8 to 5 on a daily basis?".

* Последние месяцы регулярно зависаю в фейсбуке, а на ЖЖ захожу далеко не каждый день. ФБ с мобильника значительно удобнее, да и вся информация насчет учебы дублируется именно там. Кроме этого, у меня появились нерусскоязычные приятели, для которых хочется вещать.
