I'm trained in a discipline called Hamon, a special breathing and movement technique which allows me to channel a kind of ripple energy through my body and sometimes manipulate other objects. So, in a way, I suppose it does look like telekinesis.

Yes, that's an excellent way to describe it. After all, the ripple energy is not unlike the concept of Qi. It can be found in nearly all things, but not everyone has--or learns--the ability to sense or grasp it in a tangible way. Does that make sense?
