I just located the comic book version of The Scarlet Letter that I began doing when I was in high school. It's... ...ohhhh.
In my defense I was sixteen and I really liked The Scarlet Letter
It is really hastily-drawn and Chillingworth just gets more and more wobbly and gnarled-looking until he basically becomes this... alarming amorphous blob with not very many teeth
...And...
It contains such gems as Hester saying "PEARL, STOP FORESHADOWING!", Dimmesdale saying "I AM WRACKED WITH GUILT! I MUST GO TORTURE MYSELF IN SOME NEW MANNER!, and this exchange:
Dimmesdale: HESTER! I LOVE YOU!
Hester: I love you too! Incidentally, you know Chillingworth? He's my husband, and evil.
Dimmesdale: Oh snap.
Also on the first page there is a drawing of a rose
The rose is saying "I AM A ROSE WHICH REPRESENTS HOPE!!" with exactly that many exclamation points.
