It seems odd that you can change your username and keep all the info, but your friends have to re-add you. Couldn't they have automated that, too?

It can, but then autolinking defeats the purpose of of getting rid of some people.

well, you can choose that option, but i chose not to use it. basically there were a lot of people on my list that i didn't want anything to do with.

i've also had that name since 2001. i'd say i changed a bit since then.
