riders in the storm.

Hurricane, wait, Tropical Storm, wait, annoying rain and windstorm Fay is doing its thing outside my window. The title is with full apologies to the Doors and one Mr. Jim Morrison. I kind of like the storms, we need the rain for one, and the rain cleans things out a bit. I had a killer intro, but it didn't pan out as well. Oh well, the days of the Marx have been strange, strange indeed.

School started. To say that the first class was a bit unnerving would be an understatement. Stomach flipping and kicking, I sat down and fought my nerves and learned a thing or two. The only thing that I need to work on is my procrastination, and we'll be fine, I think. I picked a few wheelhouse classes and some challenges, so hope for the 4.0 kids.
I also forgot the absolute Mafia that is any campus bookstore. 500 bucks for books. Ouch.

So my door fell off my Jeep. No kidding, my driver side door shook off the mortal coil of it's hinges and decided to fall off Monday in the AM. Yay! I mean, I get up, work out, come back, shower, and comeback to the Jeep. Now, the normal thing would be to get in, and drive to college.

Instead, I hit the latch, and my door falls off and clatters to the pavement.
Lot of profanity that was said that morning, and then, the act of calmly loaded my Jeep door in the back, and drove to the body shop with no front driver's side door.
Hundred bucks and a few welds later, she's ok, but man, the shock of the Monday morning where my door's in my driveway woke me slap up. That's exactly what I needed.

The radio station's a blast, and there's 8 weeks of affidavits that I've gotta do before Monday. Fuck that Weather Channel guy. He strikes me as some one that prides himself in being a giant douchebag. You kinda feel sorry for that guy, but still, you want to end his life as fast as you can. Ah, humanity. :)

Big things happening this weekend:
Remotes for the radio station today and tomorrow, in the driving rain.
Kevin and Ivey get married Saturday, and I'm the best man!
I call my first GHSA football game this Friday night. I'm pretty scared to death, but it'll pass.
And the first weekend of the school year. I'm a busy kid.

So the school work isn't killing me. That's good.
As long as I keep everything in line, schedule wise, I should be ok.
Now, if you'll excuse me, there's more review to be done. To the books! [pax. transend.]

i'm an official? wtf?, doors off the jeep, weddings and funerals, book learnin'
