And right on schedule I have recieved my semesterly 'computer fuckery'.
Windows installer is corrupted. It thinks it has an install going somewhere. Refuses to install anything else until said install is completed. Multiple reboots, and clearing its install list in the registry have not removed the phantom install. Nor has the microsoft registry cleaner tool. Now every fucking application opened spends half an hour trying to run its updates. Real ass pain of the matter is that uninstalling and reinstalling windows updater...requires windows updater to work.
Guess it is time to back up windows and reinstall...EVERYTHING!!! GODDANMIT!
