A couple of months ago Trowa and I accompanied
thespian to a workshop on container gardening. It seemed like a fun idea, but I hadn't managed to follow through...until now. On Sunday I procured several mystery tomato and squash seedlings from someone in JP who was removing volunteers from her compost bed, and this afternoon I went to the garden center at Home Depot with
thespian for some supplies. I left with a few extra planters (there were already some unused ones on our porch), two large bags of organic soil for growing vegetables, some plant food, some filter cloth, some potted herbs (sweet basil, Thai basil, grey sage, mint, and dill), a trowel and root detangler-thingy, and a watering can.
I have no experience whatsoever with gardening, and it's been a long while since I've just decided to jump into a new activity, so I'm pretty excited to give this a go. :) If I don't kill off all the seedlings, perhaps I'll even try planting some flowers sometime.
